When BB5 first came out, I wasn’t quite sold on it due to some mixed reviews and single packet Freeman masks (which I am still seeing in some boxes). After awhile though, the boxes did start to look better so I decided to try this American subscription service on a quarterly basis. I honestly had no idea what was going to be in this month’s box so for once it actually was a real surprise!
You are not seeing double, I actually received duplicate items making this BB5 box worth quite a lot because of what I think is an honest mistake!
Blum Naturals Makeup Remover Towelettes
Remove oil, dirt and makeup with these deep-cleaning towelettes that leave your skin feeling soft and silky smooth.
Thoughts: I’m glad that there is more than one towelette in here to try out! I have heard and seen blum products at Winners, but never actually tried anything from them so I was happy to get these.
Full size: 10 pack/$3.99
I received: 3 towelettes/$1.20
Blinc Eyeliner in Black
Summer just got a little better with this water-resistant, no smudge, easy to remove eyeliner that won’t run or flake.
Thoughts: Ooooh, I was hoping I would either receive this or the mascara because I have been dying to try blinc! One day I will have to try their mascara though because I want to see those “tubes” forming around my lashes!
Full size: 0.21oz/$26
I received: 0.02oz/$2.48
H20+ Marine Calm Restoring Eye Cream
Use this marine, botanical-infused eye cream to deeply nourish and reduce the look of fine lines and dark circles.
Thoughts: Oddly enough, I have never tried anything from H20 even though it’s relatively easy for me to find where I live. I have a lot of eye cream samples right now and I really don’t know how different this one will be from what I’ve been using, but that’s ok. I’ve got some dark circles I would like to get rid of, so we’ll see how it does with those!
Full size: 0.5oz/$32.00
I received: 0.13oz/$8.32 (x 2)
Ferro Cosmetics Sheer Crystal Veil
This multi-purpose powder is the answer to illuminated skin! Dust over or under your foundation or mix with moisturizer for a dewy soft finish without the shimmer or the glitter.
Thoughts: I’ve never heard of Ferro Cosmetics, but this sounds like a lovely addition to add to my moisturizer. I think I might have something similar to this product already, but nonetheless it’s a nice sample size to try out.
Full size: 0.14oz/$19.00
I received: 0.03oz/$4.07
Ellis Faas Creamy Lips in L109 Pale Coffee
Thoughts: This is my favourite part of the whole box! I saw in July on the BB5 Facebook page that Ellis Faas products were going to be featured in August’s BB5 and when I looked at the other products from this company I was definitely in awe! Everything looks sleek like a bullet and there is even a “pen holder” that looks just like the cylinder containing chambers on a revolver to hold all of your Ellis Faas lipstick, eye shadow, blush or concealer because almost all of the products have the exact same shape!
Full size: 0.95oz/$35.00 ($42 CDN on Sephora!)
I received: *FULL SIZE* (x2)
Total Value of BB5: $94.39 USD Without the mistake, this was still an amazing box at $51.07 USD. I loved the Ellis Faas lip gloss, but I wish it wasn’t so expensive! Even without the duplicate products, I am more than happy with my BB5!
