OMG, I didn't intend on being away from this space for as long as this, but hopefully some of you caught that I was still alive and on Instagram especially with my Story feed being filled with beauty goodness from the #LDBeauty event this week! Lots of fun things coming soon from so many brands including NYX! Though I received the newest Bare With Me Collection from Chickadvisor, it was showcased during the LDBeauty event and it is a stark contrast to their more adventurous products! Their Cosmic Lips glosses were one of my favourite releases and ever since then I haven't really come back to NYX even though I know they have incredibly solid products. Their Jumbo Eye Pencils and their Slide On Eyeliners are fantastic and were the first few makeup products I ever talked about on the blog so I feel like I have reconnected with an old friend when I gave this new collection a go!

Bare With Me Multi-tasking Spray*
While I do like primers that I apply with my fingers, a spray on primer is my lazy morning application/wake up call and I haven't actually used one since my beloved one from Skindinavia ran out. This is a lightweight spray that I can comfortably use as a primer, setting spray right after foundation application and then one more time after all my makeup is applied without my face feeling tight like hairspray. While generally those are the setting sprays that seal things in the best, this one is an easy everyday, no fuss do-it-all spray that I have no complaints about. For a primer though, I much preferred the next product!
Hydrating Jelly Primer*
Firstly, the texture is VERY cool. It's kind of firm so when you scoop out a piece it's kind of chunky and you can't possibly imagine that this is going to spread nicely on your skin and then magically, it starts to melt and smooth out until I have skin that's cool and smooth to the touch! It also "redistributes" itself once a bit of "jelly" is taken so that you always have a perfectly smooth surface in the jar all the time! Aesthically, I find this incredibly pleasing and more importantly, I did feel that this primer did a better job of gripping my makeup and keeping it in place during the day than using solely the primer spray.
Tinted Skin Veil in Natural Soft Beige*
This is a lightweight foundation that reminds me so much of Asian BB creams/cushions because this feels like a whisper on your skin, but has incredible coverage with a satin finish! It claims 8 hour wear, but for me I would say this about 6 hour wear before I started noticing my cheeks and chin looking a little oily and uneven. The shade that was sent is a touch too light for me, but in the world of Asian beauty looks just right!
NO MAKEUP
WITH TINTED SKIN VEIL AND BLUSH
I got a chance to try the Bare With Me Lip and Cheek tint at the LDBeauty Event and though I liked the cooling effect it had, I'm not a huge tint person so I don't think I will be adding to what I have now, but may pick up a darker shade of the Tinted Skin Veil later on.
You can find the NYX Bare with Me Collection at London Drugs, Rexall and www.nyxcosmetics.ca
