This is definitely a first as my ManiMonday is coming out on a Wednesday, but work has been extra crazy and I am now finally finished working seven days in a row which rarely happens, but had to this time as I am currently on my way to the LDBeauty event! I have been fortunate to be able to attend this media event for the last 5 years and it's always a fun time. This week's manicure also uses an untried thermal indie polish from the now defunct Pretty & Polished as well as some very Halloweeny nail vinyls!
Purchased by me
Candy Corn was a bit disappointing as a good thermal should have pretty distinctive colour shifts when going from hot to cold. This just goes from dark orange to light orange...
COLD
HOT
I had actually planned on just wearing the polish alone, but once I saw how subtle the colour shift was I knew I had to add a little something extra like these awesome nail vinyls from WhatsUp Nails. They are always my go-to when it comes to nail vinyls because of their cute and easy to peel designs. You can also use these vinyls as either actual stickers, like I have here, or as stencils with polish which I could have done, but I didn't feel like waiting for my polish to completely dry. I prefer to use real polish because right now these vinyls feel a bit rough and are catching on my sweaters.
I had to trim the vinyls a little bit to fit my nail and then I did my best to stick them on as close to the edge of my nail as possible. I used one coat of top coat to seal everything in, but I probably could have used two more to smooth out the nail and that was it!
