Whew, well that was an unintended break! I worked a 6-day work week last week and thought I would do my blog catch up over the last three days I had off, but as it turns out all my body had energy for were two social outings, grocery shopping and cleaning the house! I had a total of four naps in the last three days and it felt nice to chill for a bit even if I still felt incredibly guilty for not being more productive. Having cooked dinner fairly late today, I didn't really have a lot of time for the nails so I decided to dive into one of my indie untrieds from years ago with the new defunct Nerd Lacquer.
Purchased a loooong time ago by me
Not only has this teal beauty held up in formula since my 2012 purchase, but it is so stunning! It has gold and blue hex glitter (I should have gone fishing for the dark blue glitter, but oh well) and applied opaquely in two easy coats. These were the days where I was convinced I would only be talking about nail polish in this space and where I still saw blogging as a relatively innocent hobby. Almost 10 years later, it has become a space that while still brings me joy, also makes me roll my eyes and approach everything with a jaded outlook (thank you Instagram...) so using a polish like this really takes me back to a place of virgin purity where I didn't know too much about the politics of PR and influencers. This is a whole other topic that I think gets discussed enough (or maybe not enough??) in writing so let's stick to the glitter and the "ooohs" and "aaaahs".
