SHEET MASK | Yadah Soothing Jelly Pack

I guess now that we are all on lockdown for the rest of the month, I am absolutely determined to blog about alllll of the sheet masks I have had notes for for the last 1.5 years! When I first embarked on this sheet mask mission, I literally wanted to do a blog review for EVERY SINGLE MASK I ever tried, but now after trying A LOT of of them, there are some that just aren't very interesting to talk about for an entire post so I started reviewing select ones with cool ingredients, were super expensive and we needed to find out WHY? or looked funny/pretty once I had it on my face. The Yadah Soothing Jelly Pack is about the packaging and a very weird texture so let's have a closer look, shall we?

Yadah Soothing Jelly Pack
Purchased by me as part of my FaceTory subscription

This mask was given in my July 2018 FaceTory subscription and features a jelly essence that is so thick that it does not run down the neck and is an intensely soothing and hydrating mask that is perfect after a day out in the sun or for sensitive skin. The featured ingredients are Opuntia ficus-indica extract aka cactus as well as bamboo and aloe vera extract (the latter two are in the lower half of the ingredients list).

As you can see, this is a thick jelly and when I initially took the mask out of the package, there was A LOT of essence left behind in the package even with the mask feeling so heavy from having essence on it. Truth be told, it felt a little unpleasant when I was first putting it on my skin because there was just so much essence! I also had to move some away from my eyes!

Mask Summary:

Price: $5 USD
Scent: Little to none
Essence Type: I don't think you're ready for this JELLY! Thickest I have ever seen.
Duration: 15 minutes
Thickness: Fairly thin
Mask Fit: Good
Tackiness: Takes about 30 min to absorb, but NO TACKINESS! Had to massage it in and let the jelly sit.
Hydration: Good!
Other notes: There was quite a bit of jelly left after 15 minutes so I probably could have left on the mask for longer. My skin was also quite cool upon removal.

Final verdict: When I took the mask off after 20 minutes, there was SO MUCH ESSENCE left on my face! Almost like the last 20 minutes had never happened! I really thought I was going to be left with the stickiest residue, but then after massaging in the essence and waiting 30 minutes, everything was absorbed and without a tacky residue. Now, even though this mask turned out to be very hydrating, I'm not sure if I can get onboard with the thick jelly texture...I found it a little unpleasant despite the results being quite nice. When it comes to masks, I generally prefer the whole experience to be a pleasant one so while this was an interesting product, I'm not sure I would want to use it again.
