SHEET MASK | Anua x KPop Demon Hunters Eternal and Golden Honmoon Collagen Mask

Anua x KPop Demon Hunters Sheet Mask Review
Purchased by me

I was not immune to the hype of Kpop Demon Hunters both with the movie and the music! My husband and I watched the movie last year and as big Kpop fans in general, had all of our expectations fulfilled and more! I am still not sick of the song "Golden" and I love that EJAE has finally gotten all of the recognition she deserves! A Grammy AND Oscar?! How much better could it get?!

KBEAUTY | Lore Skin - Your Newest Canadian Stop for All Things K-Beauty!

Sponsored post

K-Beauty has truly taken the beauty space by storm in recent years and one thing I really try to do is purchase my Korean beauty products from Canadian businesses as shipping from Asia often takes longer (I have waited up to 2 months!), can get lost (granted this has only happened once to me) or you get hit with duties. This is why I was delighted to see Lore Skin, a new K-beauty e-commerce store based right here in Vancouver!

SHEET MASK | Bring Green Tea Tree Cica Fresh Mask

Bring Green Tea Tree Cica Fresh Mask
Purchased by me

Well, Happy Sunday to all! We are officially in Summer now and less than a week until my birthday and all of its celebrations! I am EXCITED for the heat (not 40 degrees please!) and lazy summer days off to begin! Today in Vancouver it is dark, gloomy and 14 degrees so not exactly summer weather as I sit here in my Aritizia hoodie, but hopefully it clears up a bit later on in the day. Today I have from Bring Green what I thought would be a summer sheet mask, but based on the results I think this mask could easily be used throughout the year as it is quite hydrating! I think I have already let the cat out of the bag with that last sentence, but I'll try to keep the rest of this post entertaining.

SHEET MASK | VT Cosmetics Cica Reti-A All in One 3 Step Mask

VT Cosmetics Cica Reti-A All in One 3 Step Mask
Purchased by me

VT Cosmetics is not a new brand, but it has taken the skincare world by storm with their varying concentrations of Reedle Shot which I promise to review for you soon! Before starting Reedle Shot, I wanted to softly re-introduce myself to the brand starting with a series of new 3 step sheet masks (you know I LOVE a good multi-stepper!) the first of which focuses on soothing, smoothing and plumping.

SHEET MASK | Neogen Super Hydra Aqua Capsule Mask

Purchased by me

Neogen sheet masks have always had a more "serious" vibe leaning more towards the derm side of skincare with the packaging looking a bit more technical and instructions that you actually need to read or else you might be using the mask incorrectly!

Oh my my, we have now reached the middle of August and dare I say it, almost the end of the summer...I know let's not think about that now because I think once September rolls around, the rest of 2023 is going to go by in a flash. I still want to squeeze out the last bits of summer including some summery sheet masks like these delectable looking popsicle-themed masks from Korean beauty brand A'Pieu!

MAKEUP | Avon x fmg GLO KOLOR Collection

As I have gotten older, I have definitely moved over into more of the skincare side of beauty vs. the makeup even though I still love makeup, but maybe I'm not as experimental as I used to be. Nowadays, I don't often get excited about makeup, but when I saw the packaging of the new fmg GLO KOLOR collection I couldn't help getting excited about trying out the products! A collection that is all about no fuss beauty and making sure the skin is prepped and at its best, these hydrating and priming products feel like skincare, but can be friends with your makeup and I LOVE THAT.

SHEET MASK | PACKage I Love Myself, Sweet Dream and Don't Worry Masks

PACKage I Love Myself, Sweet Dream and Don't Worry Masks
Purchased by me via The FaceTory subscription

I have been dying to try these sheet masks from Korean brand PACKage for years and now that I have done it, I don't know where to find them anymore! I find a lot of these new Korean sheet mask brands vanish just as quickly as they appear so going forward, I am going to try to stay on top of sheet masks in a fairly reasonable timeframe (like within the year). I received these masks through my FaceTory subscription and had planned on trying them all, but like I said, they seem hard to find now. It was the Instagram-worthy packaging that really caught my attention, but I also saw some really positive reviews from fellow sheet maskers on IG so when I finally got these masks in my possession, I immediately put them on my list to try. Thankfully, I now have my act together three years later and have a review for you!

SHEET MASK | Missha x Kelly Park A Mask Sheet Only For Me Blue Day and Passion Day

Missha x Kelly Park A Mask Sheet Only For Me Blue Day and Passion Day
Purchased by me

I don't even remember when I got these masks from Missha, but I remember that it was at the height of me discovering the world of sheet masking where I pretty much bought everything in sight! These masks had such gorgeous packaging that I grabbed them thinking they would make great flatlays and sure enough, they do! These masks were part of a collaboration with Korean artist Kelly Park which features her artwork as the packaging and explains why it was so eye-catching! I had no idea what I was buying at the time and after learning there were six masks in total, I tried looking for them, but to no avail so it will just have to be these two masks for today!

SHEET MASK | The Creme Shop Rainbow Mask

The Creme Shop Rainbow Mask

Purchased by me

It is officially the first day of summer and I am going to *attempt* what I tried to do last summer which was to do the #SummerofSheetMasks where I amp up my blog reviews for sheet masks as a way to feature more cool masks for all of you! I was doing pretty well from June until the first week of August with scheduled posts and then Hugo died so suddenly that I could not bring myself back to that intense level of blogging I had been at before. As we head into the first anniversary of his death, I feel like I am slowly getting my groove and beauty passion back though I don't think it will ever be at the same level it was a few years ago. Here's to hoping that this summer will be better and that I will be able to do what I had set out to do last year!

SHEET MASK | Mediheal Meience Tofu Milk, Blackbean Tea, Projelly and Nattogum Masks

Mediheal Meience Tofu Milk, Blackbean Tea, Projelly and Nattogum Masks

Purchased by me

Using these Mediheal masks has made me realize how long it has been since I have been to Miniso, which is where I picked these masks up! What actually got my attention was the Nattogum mask because my mom used to eat it all the time when I was a kid and if you don't know what it is (fermented soybeans), it's a very acquired taste IMO! It has a really particular smell and I don't know if I could eat it now, but I remember really not liking the scent!

SHEET MASK | JM Solution Selfie Vital Rosehip and Barrier Heartleaf Mask (Disney Edition)

JM Solution Selfie Vital Rosehip and Barrier Heartleaf Mask (Disney Edition)

Purchased by me

Today is a massive organization day as we placed a large order at IKEA for the shelving units known as F
jälkinge which we thought were discontinued as they have been out of stock since 2020. We bought two units for the office/beauty room and they were perfect for storing all of my beauty products in a way that still made the room look bright and airy. We just saw them back in stock last week and had them delivered this past Friday so today is all about building and more beauty decluttering for me as it will be MUCH easier for me to load up the shelves with fewer things! I also have 50 acrylic organizers arriving from Amazon today so that will be another project! All in all, I am hoping for some majorly aesthetically pleasing before and afters!

SHEET MASK | LAPCOS Seaweed and Charcoal Sheet Masks

LAPCOS Seaweed and Charcoal Sheet Mask Review
Purchased by me

I purchased a pack of 12 LAPCOS sheet masks from Anthropologie before the pandemic (is that how everyone else thinks of time?) and was intrigued by the minimalist and very literal packaging. I have heard good things about this Korean/American brand and its inspiration from Korean skincare traditions and the sunny and creative way of life of Los Angeles (LAPCOS stands for "The Los Angeles Cosmetics Project").  I feel like this explains why the packaging isn't quite as "cutesy" as classic Korean sheet masks as it definitely feels like there is a North American inspiration behind it. The goal of LAPCOS is to share tried and true formulations that will hopefully become staples in your lifestyle just like "cracking open a bottle of ice cold kombucha". Oddly enough, I kind of get this as I love kombucha...I hate that I sound a bit cliche, but I love drinking it if I'm bloated or if my stomach feels a bit off so big kombucha fan here!

SKINCARE | Vegreen Vegan Skincare Routine

This is a sponsored post.

Even after all this time, I still LOVE discovering new skincare no matter the price point as we have all learned that results and efficacy are really what matter! I was recently introduced to the vegan Korean skincare brand Vegreen, which is a blend of the words "vegetable" and "green" with the idea being that the main ingredients used are renewable from nature and the products are made with minimal packaging.

SHEET MASK | Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream-Infused Mask

Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream-Infused Mask

Where was this mask when my skin was dry as a bone last December?! The new Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream-Infused Mask is for the driest of skin and is an instant sigh of relief delivering moisture around the clock! When this showed up in my mailbox, I immediately put it in my "to-try" rotation and my goodness was it ever an experience!

SKINCARE | Tocobo Skincare Routine with the Best Sunscreen EVER!

Tocobo Skincare Routine

Purchased by me via the Bellbees Mystery Box

Last year, I fell in love with Korean skincare brand Tocobo - specifically, their Bio Watery Sun Cream which I full on finished over the summer! It's not an easy brand to find and while there are a few Canadian retailers who carry Tocobo as a brand, I found the sunscreen the most challenging to find so luckily when it came back in stock at my favourite Canadian K-Beauty store, Bellbees, I picked it up and immediately knew after trying out the sunscreen that I would need to experience more!

SHEET MASK | The Creme Shop Pineapple Enzyme Infused Face Mask

The Creme Shop Pineapple Enzyme Infused Face Mask
Purchased by me

Not gonna lie, I have had this review sitting in my drafts for awhile AND I keep a physical "copy" of each mask that I want to review in a box in my office so let's just say, it has been probably a few years based on the colour of my hair in the selfie below! I think I stopped reviewing The Creme Shop and their sheet masks because in terms of results, they are all fairly similar. The masks I DO like sharing with you are the printed ones because who doesn't love seeing Hello Kitty or a unicorn on a sheet mask?!

SKINCARE | Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy Travel Kit for Dry and Sensitive Skin

Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy Travel Kit for Dry and Sensitive Skin

Maybe it's a combination of the weather and getting ever closer to 40, but I have really been noticing how dry my skin has been since the start of the Fall season whether it's the inside of my nose, my hands or my face. Usually a sheet mask helps significantly, but as of late even my tried and true "sheet mask moisture providers" have needed a little bit of a boost. Thankfully, I have discovered some gloriously moisturizing products this season with Korean skincare brand Physiogel with my initial introduction to the brand being their sheet mask which I loved!

SHEET MASK | Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask

Purchased by me

I have just come off the busiest two days I have had this entire year as I have taken on a new role at work that required two days of full attention meeting with reps and talking marketing strategy for 2023. We also had a 12 hour day on Saturday that involved a late dinner so as an introvert, I am in desperate need for re-charging! I DID manage to do a whopping TWO additional blog posts than the weeks before so that IS something I will celebrate!

SHEET MASK | Pyunkang Yul Black Tea Revitalizing Mask

Pyunkang Yul Black Tea Revitalizing Mask

Purchased by me

Pyunkang Yul has been on my to-try list ever since its launch in 2016 because of their holistic take on skincare and their gentle, but efficient products for all skin types. The other reason I was interested in the brand was because it was created by the Pyunkang Korean Medine Hospital, a Korean traditional medicine clinic in Seoul specializing in atopic skin disorders. I always find it fascinating that there are a number of Korean skincare brands born out of clinics or hospitals. If only there was a L'oreal Medical Hospital!
