NAILS | Ode to The Little Mermaid #CBBxManiMonday

This month, the ladies and I have decided on "Summer Lingo" as our theme so the words we are choosing from are things like: "beach", "tropical", "mermaid", "fruit", "cactus", "heat" etc so expect to see some fun manicures for the next few weeks! I have ALWAYS wanted to do a "Little Mermaid" set of nails and there just never seemed like a good time until now I guess! Little Mermaid nails are a bit dated now as it was really popular about 5 years ago and then we must have all gotten it out of our systems so I haven't seen them in a long time, but because of that, there were a wealth of designs to choose from! I finally settled on this design by @agikeringer as I thought it had all of the best elements of Ariel and I always loved her friend Flounder!

I was close to doing something that didn't take as much detail work, but I figured that since I was on vacation (I go back to work tomorrow), I should indulge and do something more challenging! It feels strange to have taken vacation, but now that some of us have been able to go back to work, my company was like "YOU GUYS NEED TO USE YOUR VACATION DAYS NOW!" In the world of retail, summer is the quietest and best time to go as it's too busy to go away starting around October/November. It's too close to Christmas and it's stressful to catch up if you do go away even for a week. I know that the day or two before I have to go back, I always feel really anxious because I know the first day back at work is always such a write-off even if you check your emails beforehand. There is always so much to catch up on, but I am hoping that with our smaller team and lower traffic, things won't be too unmanageable.
