SHEET MASK | 7th Heaven 24 Hour Hydration Range

7th Heaven masks always give me warm fuzzies because they were around during my teenage and university days when I didn't have much of a disposable income, but when I would take a stroll through London Drugs and needed a bit of retail therapy, their mud and clay masks always came to my rescue at no more than $3 a pop and I would walk out of there with my 3-4 masks feeling a little spoiled. Even 20 years later, I still love picking up a few 7th Heaven masks just to have around because their clay masks are one of the nicest smelling (chocolate and raspberries!) and are always solid on ingredients. So far, I have enjoyed everything I have tried from 7th Heaven and when they started doing sheet masks, I enjoyed those as well! The latest addition to their sheet mask family is the 24 Hour Hydration Range consisting of four biodegradable bamboo masks each targeting a specific skin concern. Packaging is super cut and the marketing lingo sounds promising so, how did they do?

CBD Infused

I have been dying to try a CBD-infused beauty product and I think this is my first one! There has been so much more CBD beauty available in the US that it is nice to see it accessible in Canada. CBD has been shown to have a range of health benefits ranging from pain relief to helping with anxiety and sleep, when it comes to the skin CBD is reported to act more as an anti-inflammatory which is often key in managing many chronic skin ailments. 

The essence in this CBD mask is a blend of vitamin E, CBD oil and sweet almond oil which smelled very good and ironically was the best mask out of the 4 despite how poor the mask fit was. This particular essence had my skin so soft and supple that I just could not stop touching it!

Hydration: My skin felt SO SOFT AND SMOOTH! I was shocked that my skin looked and felt this good!

Sensitive

The Sensitive Skin mask is fragrance-free and enriched with Vitamin E and cucumber extract. It is meant for even the most sensitive of skin types and though it looked like it would be just as hydrating as the CBD Infused Mask, but it was not. While my skin still felt smooth, it wasn't QUITE as soft and luxurious feeling.

The fit of the mask was identical so I included my sad face below from the CBD Infused mask.

Hydration: My skin felt fairly soft, but I needed to add a bit more hydration to my skin especially around the eyes because the eye holes were so big. 
Other notes: I cut slits in the chin to help with fit, but it did not help much.

Anti-Pollution

The Anti-Pollution Mask was almost identical to the Sensitive in terms of ingredients and hydration levels so I'm actually not sure where the "anti-pollution" ingredients are as the list is virtually the same as the previous mask just without fragrance.

After Sun

The After Sun mask is about hydrating and soothing sun-exposed skin reducing peeling and increasing the duration of your tan. Now, it's going to be a loooong time before I spend anytime outside and it has been well over a decade since I have tanned via the sun, but these masks are usually good for hydration. Again, the ingredients list for this mask was pretty much identical to the previous two masks so results were the same. I feel like the Sensitive, Anti-Pollution and After Sun masks are interchangeable in terms of results.

Final verdict: The CBD Infused mask was by far the favourite for me and it was really the only mask that had an additional ingredient (hemp seed oil) as the other three masks had the same ingredient formulation. Though my skin felt fairly soft and hydration with all four masks, the CBD mask gave my skin an extra soft texture. I looked at some other people wearing this mask just to see if the fit was any better and in general, these masks are on the large side. Everyone also had the same chin issues where it just wouldn't stay down. If there were more essence soaking into the sheet mask fabric, I don't think the fit would be as big of an issue. So, would I pick these masks up on my own? As much as I did not like the fit, the results of the CBD Infused mask were just TOO nice for me to deny and when I see this mask at London Drugs or have the opportunity to pick it up, I most certainly will!
