SHEET MASK | MasqueBar Massage Point Moisturizing Sheet Mask

I love a good face massage, but in a sheet mask? The Masque Bar Massage Point Sheet Mask contains perfectly round little nubbins on the sheet mask itself to stimulate circulation and pressure points on the face. Crazy, right? It also contains moisturizing hyaluronic acid, tea tree oil and willowbark extract to refresh and tone the skin. I have always had good luck with Masque Bar and this type of sheet mask seemed unusual so let's find out how it did with my skin!

I have tried one other "massage style" sheet mask before, but the dots were MUCH smaller so that mask almost felt the same as a standard sheet mask. You will see in the photos below that the plastic(?) dots are fairly large in size.

As the dots were fairly bulbous, the sheet mask didn't lay totally flat, but also didn't lift off my face so fit was fine. There was a lot of essence soaked into the mask which I felt aided in making sure the mask stayed glued onto my face! Did these little nubbins feel just as good as a massage? No. I can't say that I really enjoyed the massage point of this mask very much. It also left little holes on my face upon removal which gave me slight bout of trypophobia (fear of holes).

Mask Summary:

Price: $4.99 CDN

Skin concerns: Dryness, skin smoothing

Scent: I did not like it. Very "industrial".

Essence Type: Clear, viscous liquid

Duration: Packaging says 10-20 minutes. Do the 20! 10 minutes is way too short! I think I did 30 minutes no problem.

Thickness: Thin to medium, but the dots make it hard to determine as the mask could not be smoothed directly onto my face.

Mask Fit: It wasn't as snug as a conventional sheet mask as the dots raised the sheet slightly off the skin's surface. It also was hard to smooth around the chin.

Tackiness: Medium

Hydration: Definitely felt hydrated!

Other notes: The little massage dots left little round depressions all over my face upon removal. It kind of gave me the creeps!

Final verdict: For a mask that had the massage add-on, I did not find it to be all that beneficial and I found the essence to be pretty tacky. Yes, I had hydrated skin, but after what feels like wearing thousands of sheet masks, I think we can afford to be a little picky. It's a neat concept and totally something I was interested in trying, but not something I would try again.
