Carina Dolci Mineral Cosmetics

Hi Gals!

I stumbled upon Carina Dolci during one of those Etsy window shopping sessions where hours have gone by and I just kept clicking my way from one store to the next! I really love mineral makeup and I’m always on the lookout for companies that have bold colours. Carina Dolci is based in Houston, Texas and have a great selection of bold, glittery and neutral eye shadows. They also carry blushes, bronzers, highlighters and lip glosses packed with colour.

I ordered five eye shadows, a lip gloss and an eye shadow primer called the “Starry Eyes Serum”. They were also nice enough to throw in an extra eye shadow for shipping my order a little late! I didn’t even have to wait that long, maybe 2 weeks? It was a very nice gesture on their part and I appreciated it.

Here are the eye shadows which are wrapped like little candies!

This is the Starry Eyes Serum Eye Shadow Primer and Raspberry Tart Lip Frosting.

As you can see, the Starry Eyes Serum has a watery appearance and for a moment there, I thought it was water, but when it dried on my hand it transitioned to being slightly tacky. The key with this primer is to make sure it has dried to that tacky stage before applying eye shadow.

Look at how bright this lip gloss is! It’s intense! It’s also insanely smooth on the lips. I might have to get more of these!

On to the eyeshadows! This is Bronze, Copper, Merlot and Metallic Gold. Aren’t they sooo pretty and pigmented?! I should add that the shadows only look this intense with the primer though and suffer from major fallout without it.

All in all, I was very pleased with my order as well as Carina Dolci’s customer service. When I wanted to know the ingredients on the eye serum, they got back to me right away with the list and reassured me that there would be ingredient lists on their products in the future. Their colour selection is beautiful and the intensity just amazing with a primer. It would have been nice to not have to use a primer to get that *pow* of colour, but I can live with it if I can get such beautiful colour payoff!
