April Luvs

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Monday! Today was actually the start of a 3 day weekend for me so I’m a happy camper. As April is now coming to a close, I thought I’d share a few of my April favourites.

1. Essie Naturally Clean Purifying Nail Polish Remover

I picked up a bottle of this at Winners in the hopes that it would smell a little bit better than what I was currently using, but still work just as well. It’s a professional grade nail polish remover that smells pleasant and fresh, most likely due to the presence of eucalyptus oil. This polish remover actually works quite well because there is still acetone in it, but at least the scent is a lot nicer! For $5.99, I wish I had picked up a few extra bottles!

2. erborian Yuza Sorbet Moisturizer

Now, this stuff my fiance’s mother gave me as she travels to Europe a lot. This is a Korean skin care company that mainly distributes in France. I believe you can purchase their products online, but they’re a little expensive. On the website, this moisturizer is 42 euros which is about $55 not including shipping or customs charges. It will probably be shipped from Europe too so I’m just going to pray that my fiance’s mom goes again because I really liked this moisturizer! It has a gel-like consistency with little orange granules and also has a faint citrus scent. It’s fairly light and can be used as a makeup base. As you can see, I’m almost finished my supply! *cries*

3. Escents Headache Relief Roll-on

This is a roll-on made with peppermint and lavender essential oils. Escents is a great Canadian aromatherapy company that I believe began in Vancouver which probably explains why there are so many locations in BC and none that I can see in other areas of Canada (correct me if I’m wrong!). Anyway, I get headaches a lot and I’ve never been one to take a pill to make the pain go away unless I have something important to do so generally I will just take the headache stick and roll it on my temples, across my forehead, underneath my nose and across the back of my neck. The combination of the scent and cool numbing effect of the peppermint usually makes me feel less nauseated and lessens the pain. This is a must have product for me and I currently have three in various locations!

4. YSL Touche Eclat in #8

I know I might be a little biased when it comes to my views on this product because of the engagement ring connected to it, but I know I’m not the only one that really loves this product! I’ve already reviewed it here and it still stands as one of my favourite highlighting tools. I love the packaging, the ease of application and how it easy it is to blend into your skin. This is definitely a repurchase for me once I run out!

5. Physician’s Formula Eye Booster 2 in 1 Lash-Boosting Eyeliner

I love felt tip liners and for a drugstore brand I find the precision of this eyeliner to be amazing! The formula isn’t watery so there is no bleeding and/or feathering. This is great for creating a winged eye look. I’ve just picked up the Lancome Artliner so I’ll see how this compares.

I hope you enjoyed my favourites for the month! I can’t believe April is over! Time is flying!

  1. That head ache stuff looks interesting! I will have to look and see if they sell anything like that here in the states.

    1. Probably an aromatherapy type store? As long as you can get your hands on peppermint essential oils it should do the trick!

  2. These products seem amazing. I may need to try the Essie polish remover! I want something that smells better. The Escents Headache Relief Roll-on is something I would love to try out! I tend to take pills for pain, and this seems like a better alternative.

    1. If you can just get your hands on some peppermint essential oil that should be the same thing. The roll-on is just a bit more convenient.

  4. Ooh I definitely will be trying out the Essence Peppermint headache roll on!! It's probably a lot healthier than taking so much Tylenol!

Also, how does the essie remover work with glitter polish? Any better than regular nail polish remover or still tough to get it off..?

    1. Glitter polish is still a bit of an effort to take off, but I found it a little bit better than the Sally Hansen one I was using before. Tell me how you like the headache stick!

  6. I need that headache stick! I get horrible headaches ...just last night I woke up at 2am with a killer headache. I guess I can't get that product in Ontario but I will try getting some peppermint essential oil! Also I have been using that eyeliner for ever and love it to! The line is so precise and it lasts forever!

    1. Escents has shipping within Canada for $10 so maybe you can try out some of their other stuff too. This is my second PF eyeliner and it's the best one I've come across by far!

  7. I like how almost every post I read of yours you have something I'm interested in! (:
I've really been wanting to try the Physician's Formula Eye Booster Eyeliner. Would you say it lasts a while? (The amount of product)

    1. Hmmm, I was just griping about this today. For me, the PF Eyeliner lasts about 3 - 4 months with me using it everyday. It starts to get a little dry and the ink doesn't flow as nicely when it's about to die...but I love it so much!
