MAKEUP | Physician's Formula Healthy Lip Velvet Liquid Lipsticks with Lip Swatches

As much as I have always loved lipgloss, I have found that my preference for lip products has shifted to what is the most longwearing which are often more matte finishes or liquid lipsticks mainly because I don't feel like re-applying at work. I've become sort of a one-stop-shop when it comes to makeup so I pretty much make the effort once in the morning and don't touch my face again until I'm home removing my makeup. When it comes to liquid lipsticks, we are all want the same things: colour payoff, longevity and comfort - three things that the Physician's Formula Healthy Lip Liquid Lipsticks promise! So, how did they do?

MAKEUP | Physician's Formula Butter Highlighters, Bronzers and Blush

I know I'm getting to this a little late, but better late than never, right? The CBB brand of the month is Physician's Formula and though I had SO MUCH planned for this while I was on vacation, time got the better of me once I started my cleaning of the Beauty Vault so I chose my favourite PF face products for now and then I will have one more on their lip products next month!

VALENTINE'S DAY | All Things Pink and Red Beauty Round Up

I actually really like product round-ups and I am delighted to have a moment to do one for Valentine's Day because I LOVE red and pink. It doesn't always look great on me when it comes to clothing, but beauty products tend to be much more forgiving so here are some of my favourites for Valentine's Day (or any day really!)

I Love...Valentines Day Makeup Review

I Love...Raspberry & Blackberry Refreshing Body Spritzer* smells both creamy and tart all at the same time and I know it can be a little weird to smell so delectable, but Valentine’s Day tends to mesh our senses with our emotions so I stand by this absolutely deliciously scented body spray no matter the occasion! (I love it so much that one lucky reader will be getting the chance to win one!)

Nothing sends me running to my red and pink nail polish stash like this impending “holiday”. Two of my favourite polishes are Essie’s “Good Morning Hope”, which is your classic baby pink creme, and RGB Cosmetics’ “Red”, which is one of my favourite intensely red polishes.

When it comes to makeup for a date night out, my husband likes a neutral eye similar to the one I created for my Beauty Panel look (here), but I always have a little more fun with the lips using brightly pigmented lip products like the High Pigment Pencils from Bite Beauty in the shades “Cranberry” and “Quince”. These guys are AWESOME. Everyone get some like now. And finally, of all the blushes to choose from this time of year, why not choose one that’s both pink AND has hearts on it like Physician’s Formula Happy Booster Blush in “Rose”? I’ve had this blush for awhile, but I still brush over it ever so gently to keep the hearts intact!

Valentine’s Day – Looking forward to it or dreading it just a little?

April Luvs

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Monday! Today was actually the start of a 3 day weekend for me so I’m a happy camper. As April is now coming to a close, I thought I’d share a few of my April favourites.

1. Essie Naturally Clean Purifying Nail Polish Remover

I picked up a bottle of this at Winners in the hopes that it would smell a little bit better than what I was currently using, but still work just as well. It’s a professional grade nail polish remover that smells pleasant and fresh, most likely due to the presence of eucalyptus oil. This polish remover actually works quite well because there is still acetone in it, but at least the scent is a lot nicer! For $5.99, I wish I had picked up a few extra bottles!

2. erborian Yuza Sorbet Moisturizer

Now, this stuff my fiance’s mother gave me as she travels to Europe a lot. This is a Korean skin care company that mainly distributes in France. I believe you can purchase their products online, but they’re a little expensive. On the website, this moisturizer is 42 euros which is about $55 not including shipping or customs charges. It will probably be shipped from Europe too so I’m just going to pray that my fiance’s mom goes again because I really liked this moisturizer! It has a gel-like consistency with little orange granules and also has a faint citrus scent. It’s fairly light and can be used as a makeup base. As you can see, I’m almost finished my supply! *cries*

3. Escents Headache Relief Roll-on

This is a roll-on made with peppermint and lavender essential oils. Escents is a great Canadian aromatherapy company that I believe began in Vancouver which probably explains why there are so many locations in BC and none that I can see in other areas of Canada (correct me if I’m wrong!). Anyway, I get headaches a lot and I’ve never been one to take a pill to make the pain go away unless I have something important to do so generally I will just take the headache stick and roll it on my temples, across my forehead, underneath my nose and across the back of my neck. The combination of the scent and cool numbing effect of the peppermint usually makes me feel less nauseated and lessens the pain. This is a must have product for me and I currently have three in various locations!

4. YSL Touche Eclat in #8

I know I might be a little biased when it comes to my views on this product because of the engagement ring connected to it, but I know I’m not the only one that really loves this product! I’ve already reviewed it here and it still stands as one of my favourite highlighting tools. I love the packaging, the ease of application and how it easy it is to blend into your skin. This is definitely a repurchase for me once I run out!

5. Physician’s Formula Eye Booster 2 in 1 Lash-Boosting Eyeliner

I love felt tip liners and for a drugstore brand I find the precision of this eyeliner to be amazing! The formula isn’t watery so there is no bleeding and/or feathering. This is great for creating a winged eye look. I’ve just picked up the Lancome Artliner so I’ll see how this compares.

I hope you enjoyed my favourites for the month! I can’t believe April is over! Time is flying!
