Earlier this year, I fell for the GLAMGLOW glitter train with the #Glittermask and then when the limited edition My Little Pony #Glittermasks came out I was literally trembling with which of the three colours to get! I had said in my previous review that I liked this mask mainly for skintertainment purposes though it did make my skin look brighter upon removal and that I wouldn't buy it again, but I didn't say I wouldn't buy it if it was a different colour! Ah, the joys of being a consumer.

The GLAMGLOW x MY LITTLE PONY #Glittermask GravityMud Firming Treatment (50mL/$75.00 CDN) is a fairly pricey mask for the ingredients and amount of product, but if you grew up with My Little Pony you will be torn about getting this mask and even after telling myself that I was well aware of how this product worked, I just wanted a photo of myself in this crazy pink mask!
There are three "shades" of MLP #Glittermask: Pink, Purple and Black all inspired by the ponies of Equestria with the goal of clearing out pores, increasing skin firmness and elasticity and of course, feeling like a baller in a face full of glitter.
In addition to the mask, a silicone applicator spatula and sheet of sparkly My Little Pony stickers are included which I have already added to my bullet journal! The previous version of #Glittermask had a brush for application which I found pretty awful because you had to rinse it out or wipe off the bristles right away. You really shouldn't be rinsing the mask down the sink because the glitter can harm fish and wildlife so having a spatula where I can just peel off the excess bits once dry is much better!
Packaging is super cute and fun and a little over the top, but for My Little Pony, I will make the exception!
It's SO PINK! I miss having star glitter, but having iridescent glitter sitting in a hot pink peel-off goo is pretty fun too! I discussed the ingredients quite a bit in my previous review (linked above) so I won't say too much to avoid repeating myself, but in terms of actual skin benefits long-term, this is not a product I would recommend, but if you are looking for a quick brightening and toning session that will last for your night out then this is perfect.
Ingredients: Water\Aqua\Eau, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Alcohol Denat., Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Montmorillonite, Pentylene Glycol, Illite, Polysorbate 20, Canadian Colloidal Clay, Caprylyl Glycol, Althaea Officinalis Leaf Extract (Marshmallow Extract), Tapioca Starch, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Colloidal Platinum, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate (Licorice Root Extract), Alcohol, Ascophyllum Nodosum Powder (Kelp), Polysorbate 80, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Citric Acid, Lecithin, Pullulan, Porphyridium Cruentum Extract, Soy Isoflavones, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Fragrance (Parfum), Coumarin, Disodium Edta, Platinum Powder, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Red 22 (Cl 45380), Red 28 (Cl 45410)
Some of you know that I subjected a co-worker of mine to both the My Little Pony and original #Glittermask and because he shaves his head, I was able to cover most of his head too, but it took a lot longer to apply! He had requested a superhero style mask which is why we have the two colours, but lemme tell ya, covering a whole head uses a TON of product! It took a solid hour to dry and he had to sit through our weekly team meeting looking like this! Then we had a team-building exercise of peeling it alll off! He is pretty fair so it was hard to see if he was brighter, but at the very least he said his skin felt nice!
For the amount of mask I had, I needed about 45 minutes to get that really satisfying peel-off so be prepared to do some housework, take a bath, blog etc...
Final verdict: I haven't changed my thoughts from the last review and though this product isn't high on my "skin value" list of ingredients, this sure is fun to play around with so again, no regrets about this product though at $75 it is QUITE the treat!
The GLAMGLOW #GLITTERMASK My Little Pony Edition is available now at Sephora.
