SHEET MASK | Pyunkang Yul Black Tea Revitalizing Mask

Pyunkang Yul Black Tea Revitalizing Mask

Purchased by me

Pyunkang Yul has been on my to-try list ever since its launch in 2016 because of their holistic take on skincare and their gentle, but efficient products for all skin types. The other reason I was interested in the brand was because it was created by the Pyunkang Korean Medine Hospital, a Korean traditional medicine clinic in Seoul specializing in atopic skin disorders. I always find it fascinating that there are a number of Korean skincare brands born out of clinics or hospitals. If only there was a L'oreal Medical Hospital!

What makes this mask special? In addition to fermented black tea extract, this mask also contains niacinamide, peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, hydrolyzed keratin, hyaluronic acid, ceramides and a host of plant extracts! Honestly, this ingredients list is a veritable skincare jackpot!

Pyunkang Yul Black Tea Revitalizing Mask

Mask Summary:

Price: $2.50CDN

Skin concerns: Dullness, lack of elasticity, wrinkles

Scent: None

Essence Type: Tea-coloured, jelly-like

Duration: 20 minutes, but I left it on for about 30 minutes

Thickness: Super thin

Mask Fit: Soooo nice! I couldn't see where my skin started and where the mask began!

Tackiness: None! I found this surprising for a mask with a jelly essence as they tend to take a long time to absorb if at all!

Hydration: Right now, I would say medium because of how dry it has been, but I think when the humidity is higher, hydration would be good!

Other notes: Mask material was very soft and pliable so it stretched in all the right areas. No chin goatee!

Final verdict: I originally picked up a single mask to try from Bellbees.ca, but now they are sold out so I will patiently wait for this mask to come back because it is AWESOME! My skin felt revitalized, looked brighter and felt smoother in texture. Definite must-have mask!
