SHEET MASK | VT Cosmetics PDRN Hydrogel Mask

Purchased by me

It's hard to believe that I have not written a blog post in 2 weeks, but honestly this month just whizzed right on by! One minute it felt like the beginning of February and now we are at the end and it has been a very busy month! I have also preferred doing Pixyls and diamond painting in my free time rather than blogging hence the lack of posts this month as the struggle has been REAL to sit down and talk about beauty. Also, the world is kind of crap right now which is further added to me just wanting to retreat into my little hobby hole.

I haven't even been great about using my sheet masks the last two weeks which is sad considering I have so many, but I feel like I have just been overworked with being short-staffed and then training new staff (all of whom seem really nice and smart which is a WELCOME change from the last 2 years of my life). Once the new staff are up and running, I can start to relax again, but the last month has been a little rough. So, the last sheet mask I wore that I had intended on reviewing was from the very sexy and hot brand VT Cosmetics as they are taking the Korean skincare world by storm with their Reedle Shot and PDRN products. Hydrogel masks seemed to have gotten way better over the years in terms of adhesion and I do like PDRN so when I saw this mask on Bellbees, I was immediately intrigued!

What make this mask special? This mask contains plant-based PDRN called PHYTO PDRN Panax which comes from Korean ginseng. Plant-based PDRN has been shown to improve skin barrier and wound healing on a similar scale to animal-derived PDRN (Lee et al., Feb 2025). Currently, what is more commonly used is PDRN from salmon DNA so this would be an amazing vegan option.

Ingredients: Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Niacinamide, Ceratonia Siliqua (Carob) Gum, Chondrus Crispus Powder, Chondrus Crispus Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, Betaine, PEG-100 Stearate, Panthenol, Butylene Glycol, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Cellulose Gum, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Potassium Chloride, Polysorbate 60, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Dextrin, Sucrose, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower Extract, Trideceth-6, Pantolactone, Squalane, Lactobacillus Ferment, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Sodium DNA(0.05ppm), Polyglucuronic Acid

Fit wise, the hydrogel material was very clingy so it did not slide down my face. It was also noticeably cooling the entire time it was on my skin so I think this would be a VERY nice mask to use after Reedle Shot!

Mask Summary:

Price: $8.50 CDN

What it does: Hydrates and strengthen skin barrier

Scent: None

Essence Type: Slightly blue and lightly viscous

Duration: 30 minutes

Thickness: Thin compared to traditional hydrogel

Mask Fit: The nose area wasn't great and felt a bit big and while there was a bit of chin goatee, the mask material itself was very clingy so the mask did not slide at all.

Tackiness: Light/medium

Hydration: I completely forgot to add moisturizer so it was fairly hydrating on its own!

Other notes: N/A

Final verdict: I think this mask has a ton of potential and while I only picked up one, I would like to use it more consistently over a month to see how my skin fares especially in conjunction with the Reedle Shot serum!
