Sample provided by Butterly
For those of you who participate in Butterly campaigns, I know we are only supposed to post on our social media and then upload a review on the Butterly or brand website, but for some reason I really felt compelled to add on a blog post. Maybe I am feeling nostalgic about blogging this week since I have more time to myself or maybe it's because CLEAN was one of the first fragrances I had in my perfume collection. It's probably a combination of the two, but either way I felt like giving this 3mL rollerball sample some love.

When I first started wearing fragrance, I preferred more "literal" scents like GAP's Grass and CLEAN's Shower Fresh and Warm Cotton. I am actually wearing Warm Cotton as I write this post! I have always loved the scent of fresh laundry and Warm Cotton so reminded me so much of it. Over the years, CLEAN has evolved and added to their fragrance repository, but the scents have always been unique, light and layerable. I remember attending an event when there was a launch of their CLEAN Reserve line and the fragrances were so much more sophisticated and complex than the days of Shower Fresh, but I liked it! They didn't feel too floral or feminine and worked for both men and women.

Whipped Cherry is the first time I have tried a "Fruity Gourmand" from CLEAN and at first I was a little scared how the cherry might translate a I generally never like the scent of cherries other than in real life. This scent is meant to be like a layered cocktail with a dessert of pralines and vanilla cream at its core topped with a wild cherry! I was pleasantly surprised that Whipped Cherry came off more vanilla-like to me with the cherry being more subtle. I also felt like this scent was very creamy and a little "nutty" and this was before I actually read what the notes were so I am glad that my nose was semi-accurate on this!
Top Notes: Wild Cherry, Pineapple, Coconut Water, Orange Zest
Mid Notes: Almond Blossom, Praline, Mimosa, Osmanthus
Dry Notes: Vanilla Cream, Cedarwood, Musk, Sandalwood
Final verdict: The dry down and wear time is always the true indicator of whether a fragrance will work for me and I am happy to report that even 8 hours later, I can still smell Whipped Cherry on the inside of my wrists, but t has now dried down to a creamy almond/praline scent which makes me want to have some dessert! This is definitely on the sweeter side and out of respect for my boss and office partner who hates the smell of vanilla, I would probably just pick this up in a 10mL rollerball to use on days he isn't in!
