Look at me! I am on a blogging roll! It's amazing what a few days of rest can do for the mind and body and though my physical body needed A LOT of recovery after FanExpo, I have been taking it very easy doing little chores around the house and remembering what it is like to feel somewhat human. One of the things that has been severely delayed since December has been my Leaders Cosmetics reviews. I have a number of fun things to showcase from this Korean brand and I think this is the week I finally catch up!

I don't use much eye cream because I'm one of those people who brings up her serums and/or moisturizers so that my undereyes get a bit of hydration, but in the last year or so, I have been feeling "real crepey" underneath my eyes with my current routine so I decided to introduce an eye cream. I chose one eye cream that was for more mature skin that was almost oil-based, but when I went for my facial a month later, my esthetician and I found that I had a lot more milia than the last time I had visited which led me to believe that what I was using was too rich. Then came the search for the next lightweight eye cream which timed somewhat perfectly with the Leaders campaign for the Green Collagen Eye Cream for Face.

Firstly, I am not a fan of the name of the product as I think they could have left off "For Face" as consumers generally understand that eye cream refers to the eyes on your face. While this vegan eye cream has a lightweight texture, it also contains vegan squalane, plant-derived actives and ceramide to improve elasticity, cheek volume (oooh!) and lock in hydration while keeping the undereye area happy.

Some other interesting measurements that were taken from those who used this eye cream were things like improvements of approximately 10% in the look of Crow's feet, fine lines and tear troughs! I have never heard of tear troughs mentioned, but I get it! There are wrinkles there that I don't like!

I also like that this packaging has a very targeted dispenser and is not a pot. I have come to realize that I don't like pots for eye cream, but I also understand that it is the best way to get ALL of the product out. I just prefer the tube and how much more hygienic it is to dispense product.

Final verdict: I am one of those people who does not need much from her eye cream. I know that dark circles can only be reduced by getting proper sleep and that genetics has a part to play in how dark they are. I just want softer feeling undereyes that don't get milia! I've been using this eye cream for a few weeks and I like the slightly citrusey, yet subtle fragrance, the vanishingly smooth texture that doesn't feel like silicone, but also doesn't feel like tacky. So far, there has been no new milia and old millia with some light acid exfoliation has started to calm down a bit. I'm ok with this eye cream because my skin seems to like it and I will take that as a win! At $18 USD, this eye cream is super affordable and that all ages will be able to enjoy it!
