SHEET MASK | Augustinus Bader Hydrogel Face Mask with TFC8

Augustinus Bader Hydrogel Face Mask with TFC8
Purchased by me

I just wrapped up my one week of vacation and what I love about how I tend to structure my time off is that I leave mid-week and I come back on a Friday because while it is still a weekday, you cannot really follow up on anything because everyone is already packing up for the weekend! Then I work Saturday where I can have more time to catch up and then come Monday, I am ready for the week!

SHEET MASK | Anua x KPop Demon Hunters Eternal and Golden Honmoon Collagen Mask

Anua x KPop Demon Hunters Sheet Mask Review
Purchased by me

I was not immune to the hype of Kpop Demon Hunters both with the movie and the music! My husband and I watched the movie last year and as big Kpop fans in general, had all of our expectations fulfilled and more! I am still not sick of the song "Golden" and I love that EJAE has finally gotten all of the recognition she deserves! A Grammy AND Oscar?! How much better could it get?!

Happy first Sunday of May! At a glorious 22 degrees Celsius, we are well on our way to summer here in Vancouver and I only wish it would stay at this temperature as this is the most I can comfortably handle, but we are apparently in for a hot and dry summer this year so ugh. I am starting off this month with a brand new Sephora Collection mask that I picked up during the Sephora VIB sale and yes, I am still Rouge despite my beauty purchasing cutbacks. Granted, I am basically making the $1000 cut-off always during the November event instead of before where I was pretty much making it twice over by July!

SHEET MASK | Aceology Frose Infusion Gel Mask

Aceology Rose Infusion Gel Mask Review
Purchased by me

I keep saying that I won't buy more sheet masks and then I see something cute and fun and cannot resist! I saw these Aceology Frose Infusion Gel Masks as an Ipsy add-on and they were just a really great price! Normally, a SINGLE mask is $19.99 USD, but Ipsy was selling a pack of 4 for just $13 USD and they did not disappoint!

SHEET MASK | Petitfee Artichoke Soothing Hydrogel Face Mask

Gifted with Bellbees order

I did not intend to take a week long break from writing, but here we are! Even though it was a relatively chill week, my boss was away on vacation so I suppose I was tired from being "the only senior manager"? It was also the first summer without that horrid beast of an employee and usually when my boss would go away, the shenanigans would begin on Day 1 and every day she would either piss off myself or someone else and it would ultimately mean me being involved anyway because she was so careless and would bait management for a reaction. She would take people's sales, complain incessantly about the temperature, the homeless people on the street outside, it just never ended! To not have that for the first time in years has been SO REFRESHING! Finally, we can carry on business as usual without such time-wasting garbage. As you can see, I'm still very angry about all of this considering HR and the higher ups could have taken care of this years ago, but it's all still relatively new and I know that over time she will become a distant memory.

SHEET MASK | Life Brand Freezing Hydrogel Facial Sheet Mask #CanadianJuly

Life Brand Freezing Hydrogel Facial Sheet Mask Review
Purchased by me

There aren't really that many Canadian sheet mask brands out there other than Maskeraide (review) and Viva Organics (review), both of which I have reviewed in the past, but then I realized there was the Shoppers house brand Life!

SHEET MASK | VT Cosmetics PDRN Hydrogel Mask

It's hard to believe that I have not written a blog post in 2 weeks, but honestly this month just whizzed right on by! One minute it felt like the beginning of February and now we are at the end and it has been a very busy month! I have also preferred doing Pixyls and diamond painting in my free time rather than blogging hence the lack of posts this month as the struggle has been REAL to sit down and talk about beauty. Also, the world is kind of crap right now which is further added to me just wanting to retreat into my little hobby hole.

SHEET MASK | Mediheal N.M.F. Nude Gel Mask #LunarJanuary

Mediheal N.M.F. Nude Gel Mask
Purchased by me

I found these new Mediheal masks while I was shopping at Holt Renfrew as they now carry a decent selection of Kbeauty at affordable pricing! It seems a bit unusual for a luxury department store to be carrying sheet masks for $3, but I am not complaining! Now, I can pick up Dior as well as the latest in Korean skincare all in one place which is both convenient and dangerous!

SHEET MASK | Skin Republic Retinol Hydrogel Face Mask

I talked about Skin Republic at the beginning of this year (my how time has flown) and have been sitting on the review of this Retinol Hydrogel Mask because the "incubation time" on the face is almost an hour! Though I leave on my sheet masks for longer than the usual 15-20 minutes, the recommended 40 minutes for this hydrogel mask seemed just a touch too long.

Here we are with another sheet mask on another #SheetMaskSunday! How long have I been doing this? 2 years now? I think I started in 2020 as a way to regulate my blogging schedule a bit AND because it was the year my work started closing on Sundays for "pandemic times". We are actually STILL closed on Sundays now and I have to say it is just so nice having a set day off for EVERYONE where you know nothing can happen on this one day!

SHEET MASK | Getting to Know Loops Beauty

I discovered Loops Beauty while exploring the "sheet mask" hashtag on Instagram earlier this year and what caught my eye about these hydrogel masks were the fun colours they came in as well as the brightly coloured packaging. The Creative Director is also none other than model/actress Emily Ratajkowski, best known to me as the topless dancing girl from Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" music video. Not like this fact should have any influence on your decision to try the brand, but it was an interesting side note. I am a sheet mask fan first and foremost so even though celebrity skincare brands generally make me do an eyeroll, I wanted to still try out the masks because they looked cool!

SHEET MASK | H&M Biocellulose and Hydrogel Hydrating and Energizing Sheet Masks

Did you know H&M had sheet masks? I did not until I was exchanging a few things some time last year and got caught at the infamous checkout counter where a number of sheet masks and beauty items were displayed with the purpose of distracting me and making me spend more money! Well, it worked and I was pleasantly surprised with the overall quality of the masks!

SHEET MASK | Kiehls Instant Renewal Concentrate Mask

It has been REALLY hard to write this past week. I had done my best to mentally prepare myself for a busy week I knew was coming and though I feel I survived with flying colours, I was putting in a few longer days to make sure I wasn't overwhelmed the next day which has left me feeling exhausted at the idea of being productive this weekend (I have Sunday/Mondays off). Combined with the torrential rain Vancouver has had the last week, I have just been feeling sleepy by the time I make it home from work so I have been a bit lazy with the blogging, BUT hopefully you have all been enjoying my Instagram content as I try to have exclusive content there (like this photo of the most epic bath bomb from Jojo's Bath Bombs)!

SHEET MASKS | Freeman Beauty Sheet Masks for Every Skin Need!

My memories of the Freeman Beauty brand are of the massive tubes of peel-off masks that I truly thought I would get through! Their masks were always so affordable that as a teenager, my allowance really went a long way and now that I have moved towards sheet masks, Freeman has created a whole line of Beauty Infusion masks to accompany me into this new obsession of my life with prices ranging from just $2.99 to $4.99! All masks are free from parabens and sulfates and focus on plant-based ingredients.

SHEET MASK | The New GLAMGLOW COOLSHEET No Drip Hydrating Sheet Mask

I think I am a bit jaded when it comes to skincare and now that I am more familiar with ingredients, there are a lot of hyped up products that I don't buy because a lot of products contain just filler product. When I see a luxury product or a $500 moisturizer riddled with dimethicone and preservatives in higher concentration than the featured ingredient, I have some serious doubts. I also tend to avoid "Hollywood brands", BUT if the price is right and I think the experience might be worth it, I will give it a shot. I also figure it might help some of you in your decisions as I humbly volunteer as tribute to test out the new GLAMGLOW COOLSHEET No Drip Hydrating Sheet Mask!

KBEAUTY | Nature Republic Ginseng Royal Silk Gold Hydrogel Mask #100DaysofSheetMasks

There's no mistake that when it comes to sheet masks, the ones that aren't just plain white get a little more attention so even though I try to space out when I use gold and silver masks, I always get a tiny "mask-gasm" when I know I am about to use a gold sheet mask! The last gold sheet mask I reviewed was the Holika Holika Gold Caviar Foil Mask and now I have an iconic gold hydrogel mask to share - the Nature Republic Ginseng Royal Silk Gold Hydrogel Mask! I know it's a bit of a mouthful, but this was probably one of my favourite hydrogel masks to date!

KBEAUTY | Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask #100DaysofSheetMasks

Exactly two years ago, I placed my first Glow Recipe order because it was THE super sexy new place to shop for Kbeauty products that weren't quite as mainstream in North America as other more well-known favourites. Even now, I still find their selection of products quite good and then Glow Recipe did something even sexier - come out with their very own line of products! Only recently have their products become available at Sephora so when their Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask became available to order I jumped at the chance! I mean, look at how CUTE that packaging is!

SKINCARE | Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrogel Mask

Did you know that Neutrogena is the CBB Brand of the Month? I personally use only two Neutrogena products regularly and that is their Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen and their Makeup Remover Wipes, both of which I think are fabulous, but they aren't sexy and new like the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrogel Masks! You guys know that I am a sheet mask fiend with my masking almost every night and even though North America is a little late to the hydrogel trend, I am always curious to see how they compare to the Korean versions. Typically, I don't find hydrogel masks as effective as cotton or biocellulose masks, but they sure feel good AND are pretty entertaining to apply!

SKINCARE | Elizavecca Water Lock Hydrogel Melting Mask #LunarFebruary

Do you know where I found this sheet mask? Right in the aisle of my local London Drugs! Some of you may have noticed that London Drugs has started carrying Korean beauty brands like Mizon, The Face Shop and now Elizavecca! The selection tends to change and I am never able to find the same things twice, but pricing is reasonable and I don't have to wait a month for things to ship from South Korea!

I last featured Elizavecca in January (here) with their hydrogel eye mask which was fun, but I didn't find great for value. I picked up the Water Lock Hydrogel Melting Mask because packaging was cute and because I do love a good hydrogel mask!

SKINCARE | Etude House Calming Cheek Patch

LOL. That is really how I need to start off this final skincare review for the month because this product was just kind of silly and I was highly amused the whole time I was wearing it. I have now gone into the sheet mask zone of true "skintertainment" with the Etude House Calming Cheek Patch (~$2 USD). These gelatinous patches promise to brighten, firm, moisturize and calm red and irritated cheeks. There are also other "patches" in this series for laugh lines and other parts of the face. Let's find out if these cheek masks worked!
