Loopha Chalk Hand and Body Powder Wash
Purchased by me

Leave it up to Deciem to come up with some strange packaging to house a strange product! I was on my lunch break one day at the Deciem store (it's next door to my work) and saw one of Deciem's many brands that I had not seen before - Loopha! Loopha focuses on fragrance by "activating atmospheres by scenting areas of daily life and filling them with function".

All of the products focus on the body and have very interesting fragrances with one of the products catching my eye - the Hand and Body Powder Wash which is as the name indicates, a powdered soap! There are three scents available and after sniffing all three, I liked the uniqueness of Chalk with its notes of: crushed mint, fresh saffron, sugared anise and powdered musk making this a very unisex scent.

The idea of powdered soap is nothing new and what I have liked about these waterless soaps in the past is how travel-friendly they are, but now when I think about it, it's not very often that you don't have access to soap...I guess it depends where you are travelling to!

The packaging is interesting as it is rounded on the bottom so it kind of rocks back and forth on a flat surface and the opening on the cap to get product out is quite small. If you take the cap off, you risk too much product coming out so you are stuck with keeping the cap on.

It lathers decently well, but I think this is better off as a hand wash instead of a body wash because you can only hold so much product in your hand and as not a lot of product comes out of the tiny opening, you would have to shake out product multiple times to do your whole body!

Final verdict: Unique scent, fun packaging, but as someone who does not travel all that often, I don't know when I would really feel the need to use this. It really only works as a hand wash because of the amount of product that comes out so maybe I would enjoy the liquid version, but as someone who has enough body washes to last her years, this wasn't amazing enough for me to get more. What I WOULD be interested in is the Loopha Body Serum so maybe that is something you will see here in the future!

You can find Loopha at all Deciem stores and at www.loopha.com
