While I do enjoy the Sol de Janiero Bum Bum Cream collection and the Cheirosa 62 scent, my husband does not. He finds it quite intense (I mean, he's not wrong) and starts to sneeze in the office so I only use my Bum Bum Cream products if he's on a work trip. During the last Sephora VIB Event in November, I decided to try the Bom Dia Bright collection and its Cheirosa 40 scent in the hopes that it would be more tame for my husband.

During the last Sephora VIB Event in November, I decided to try the Bom Dia Bright collection and its Cheirosa 40 scent in the hopes that it would be more tame for my husband.
I do like trying things like this in the form of travel sets as I have quite the body product collection and I find these sizes to be perfect for testing and enjoying for a few weeks. The Bom Dia Bright Jet Set features the Clarifying AHA BHA Body Wash (this ALSO caught my eye!), Body Cream and Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 40 Perfume Mist. The Cheirosa 40 scent is a fruity floral (vs. the more warm gourmand of 62) with notes of Black Amber Plum, Vanilla Woods and Jasmine Blooms.
This chemically exfoliating body wash contains AHAs from fruit acids like papaya and mango, lactic acid and BHA in the form of willow bark extract. It also has a creamy and milky texture with a very soft and cloud-like lather which I enjoyed!
The body butter felt slightly less thick the Bum Bum Cream, but I could be imagining as I was expecting it to be the same. This body cream also contains AHAs from fruit, vitamin C and Cupuacu Butter. One thing I will say about Sol de Janiero's body butters is that all of them are incredibly hydrating to the point where I generally only use them in the drier months, but the finish is non-greasy which is nice.
I have come back to fragrance in a BIG way the last two years so I have been loving perfume mists like this one that can be used on the body, hair and wherever else you want it to smell like Cheirosa 40! The scent doesn't last very long, but is a nice way to refresh through the day without an overpowering scent.
Final verdict: I loved this scent and all of the products in this little set so now I want to pick up the body scrub too during the next VIB Rouge event which is coming up on April 10th!
