I know that lip liners are back in a BIG way and I have tried a few times to get onboard, but this is one product that I cannot get to work for me. I feel like no matter how much I blend, I always end up with a ring around my lips after a few hours. I have worn lip liners as lipsticks with a bit of gloss on top and of course, once the gloss wears off, I am left with my lip ring once again so when it comes to lip liners, I actually have only two that I have legitimately purchased on my own. I probably have 10 from PR that are in nude shades that I am convinced I will "need at some point", but I think I should just declutter them the next time I do a purge.

Like I said, lip liners are not my friend so I did not believe the BlurFiller Lip Contour would be either, but there is something special about this formula that NEVER leaves me with a ring around my lips. The official L'Oreal spiel is that the formula is a "soft-focus blurred effect" that is self-blurring and creates the illusion of fullness around the edges of your lips. There is absolutely no blending required and it can be worn alone for an overall plumped lip or underneath a gloss. I always wear BlurFiller with a gloss because the finish is quite mattifying and though my lips don't look dry, they feel a bit tight so I much prefer pairing this with a gloss.

The domed tip allows for easy contouring and maneuvering around the lips and as the formula is so smooth, does not skip and provides a quick way to have a completed lip look in seconds. The only thing I will mention is that because the formula is so smooth, the dome eventually starts flattening out after a handful of uses so you have to use it in a way that keeps the shape which can be awkward. I have not done that, so now mine is looking more slanted like a lipstick.
I ADORE the shade selection. Great neutrals for every day and then deeper tones for extra drama or a Fall lip. Now, that it is summer, I have been sticking to the first four lighter shades, especially Nude Espresso and Tea Time. They are super creamy in texture to apply and dry down matte. They are not budgeproof, as you can see below, so eating and drinking will wear off the colour fairly quickly.

Wearing the combination BlurFiller Mocha Mousse + Plump Ambition in La Nuit Sparkle. This was a little dark without any other makeup for me, but I think with a full face of makeup, this combination would be really pretty!
This is BlurFiller in Worth It + Plump Ambition in Worth It which looked super pink on me! I was not expecting it to look so pink, but I had compliments on this combo so I'll continue to try it out! The next two combinations I have been wearing, I kid you not, EVERY DAY!
BlurFiller in Tea Time + Plump Ambition in Crystal Clear
Final Verdict: While I haven't been using the BlurFiller to actually contour, I will say that the blur effect does seem to make my lips look bigger and then combined with the gloss, truly looks like I have amazing lips! I do wish the colour lasted a little bit longer, but Blurfiller does leave a slight colour behind so it doesn't look like my lips are completely bare. I love how easy this product is to use every morning and even though I feel like we had this product marketed to us as a matte lipstick 10 years ago, I still like it! The texture doesn't drag across my lips and even if they are in need of exfoliation, this "lip liner" is extremely forgiving!
You can find the L'Oreal BlurFiller Lip Contour Lip Liner in mass drugstores across the country.
