MAKEUP | L'Oreal BlurFiller Lip Contour Lip Liner

L'Oreal Blurfiller Lip Contour Review
Press samples

I know that lip liners are back in a BIG way and I have tried a few times to get onboard, but this is one product that I cannot get to work for me. I feel like no matter how much I blend, I always end up with a ring around my lips after a few hours. I have worn lip liners as lipsticks with a bit of gloss on top and of course, once the gloss wears off, I am left with my lip ring once again so when it comes to lip liners, I actually have only two that I have legitimately purchased on my own. I probably have 10 from PR that are in nude shades that I am convinced I will "need at some point", but I think I should just declutter them the next time I do a purge.

MAKEUP | L'Oreal Faux Brow with Before and After Video Application

L'Oreal Faux Brow Review

I have been feeling incredibly nostalgic the last few months which has led me to looking at products I loved back in the heyday of "beauty influencing" as well as going back to watching beauty videos from OG YouTubers like Tati, Lara Lee and Nikki La Rose. While I still cannot stand Lara's style of talking, I have not missed a single Tati video since she went back to her roots and away from the beauty drama of 2019. With my renewed interest in a classic beauty video, I was recommended Nikki's videos and while they can be very long and wordy, she seems genuine in her product recommendations so when she went on and on about how amazing the L'Oreal Faux Brow was, I put it on my list to try not realizing I had had it sitting in a box of PR since August 2025. I know, shame on me!

MAKEUP | L'Oreal Paradise Big Deal Mascara (Definitely NOT a Big Deal For Me!)

L'Oreal Paradise Big Deal Mascara Review

I very rarely discuss mascara on here because even though it is a product I use daily, there are very few that manage to make my little lashes look substantial and today is no different. If anything, this is the first mascara I have tried in a long time that had such a minimal result that I wanted to talk about it! A little backwards when you think about how most beauty reviews work, but I was indeed amazed just in the opposite direction!

HAIR | L'Oreal Paris Glycolic Gloss Routine

L'Oreal Paris Glycolic Gloss Routine Review

Press samples

I have been hesitant to review haircare since dying my hair purple since it is a bit of a routine to keep up with the colour, but now that the colour is seriously fading, I have been planning to go back to blonde/mushroom brown balayage around June. This means, my urge to hang on to my purple is not as intense so it felt like a good time to try some new hair stuff starting with drugstore great L'Oreal with their new Glycolic Gloss Collection!

HAIR | L'Oreal Colorista Spray in Silver 01

It is amazing what you discover when you go through old photos! This is a post that I started three years ago and just never got around to finishing! When the L'Oreal Colorista Sprays first launched, it was the era of unicorn hair and as a way to spare my fragile colour-treated hair, this was a fun way to get the lavender balayage I always wanted or in today's case, be SILVER!

HAIR | L'Oreal 8-second Wonder Water Lamellar Rinse-out Treatment

I am generally not overly surprised by beauty things even if they claim to be "the latest innovation" in x, y or z and especially when a product is called "8 Second Wonder Water". When L'Oreal came out with a hair treatment that claimed a practically instant transformation that targeted damaged areas of hair, I assumed it was going to be just another hair mask or serum. Boy, was I ever wrong! The next question was WHY this treatment was so life-changing which led me down a crazy rabbit hole of lamellar water technology!

HAIR | Celebrating the Pantone Colour of the Year with L'Oreal Colorista Spray in #Purple 200

I will be honest that I only pay attention to the Pantone colour of the year from December to the end of January and then I'm ready for the reds and pinks of Valentine's Day, but this year I paid extra attention because purple is one of my all-time favourite colours. The purple family gets featured quite a bit on my nails, eyes and lips and even in my hair! I loved having blue and purple hair back in 2016, but dark hair has its limitations when it comes to the shade of purple you can have. When I saw the L'Oreal Colorista Sprays at the London Drugs Event back in the Fall, my first question to the dark haired rep at the booth was "Will this show up in dark hair?" to which he responded by turning his brunette head and showing me the blue that was on the side! At that moment, I knew I had to try these in allll the colours since they wash out in just a day so no need to worry about the commitment!

Shoppers Drug Mart | Birthday Goodies

I don’t know if I’m just crazy, but I chose to get a bulk of birthday goodies from none other than Shoppers Drug Mart. There was a redemption and bonus points event the weekend of my birthday so I definitely used it as an excuse to say “Happy Birthday to Me”! I hope that the points system doesn’t change with the new Loblaws ownership…points are the main reason I shop at Shoppers because their prices aren’t exactly the lowest for many of the products they carry. Fingers crossed things don’t change too much!

May | 2013 Empties!

Here I am with my May empties midway through June, but I get such a kick out of these posts! I was explaining to my “real world” friends about these posts and how we all love them and they were like “What? You and your blogger friends collect empty bottles and store them for a month and then show the Internet?!” I guess it is basically me showing all of you my cosmetic garbage! Anyway, it’s the coolest garbage ever so here’s what I managed to get through last month!
