Dior Summer 2016 Milky Dots | Dior Addict Milky Tint in Milky Pastel and Milky Plum Review with Swatches

OMG OMG OMG. That is pretty much what tumbled out of my mouth when I just happened to be home and the Dior Milky Dots Collection arrived at my door! Wrapped in polka dotted paper, I did not know what to expect, but then...this collection is blowing my mind like last year's Tie Dye collection so expect to see as many reviews as I can humanly do because my love for this collection is REAL.

I am starting off with the first product that I have been happily wearing on a daily basis - the new Dior Addict Milky Tints ($43.00 CDN)! Coming in four different nourishing lip colours, these have a similar "wet" formula to the Dior Addict Fluidsticks (reviews), but do not have the same pigmentation as they are a tint. I received the shades Milky Pastel* and Milky Plum* and now want/need/have to pick up the other two shades, Milky Peach and Milky Pop to complete my collection!

Packaging is identical to the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks with the classic Dior curved doe-foot applicator.

You can see from the swatches that they are indeed "watery", but buildable. Granted, neither shade ever reaches full purple or Barbie pink, but they are incredibly comfortable shades to wear on a daily basis and they dry down to give your lips just a hint of colour. I wouldn't call them very hydrating though and behave more like a "helmet of colour" to prevent moisture from leaving.

I'm sorry, but I completely forgot to take a picture of how Milky Pastel looked on me! I guess I was just too in love with Milky Plum! Milky Pastel was just a tinge lighter than my natural lip colour and honestly didn't look all that interesting on me. Milky Plum in person though, is just so lovely! It made me wish my natural lip colour was in fact "milky plum"!

Final verdict: These are definitely tints in every sense of the word and though I know we are all very familiar with tints at the drugstore and luxury level, I felt that in terms of formulation, the Milky Tints were a bit more cushion-like than some its other tint counterparts. There are two other Milky Tint shades that have much more pow so I will probably be purchasing another to round out my collection. I don't think you need ALL four of them, but Milky Plum is a definite keeper for me as the tint left behind was juuuust right!

Available at all Dior counters May 2016.
