Jamberry | Nail Wraps Review and First Impressions
Ladies and gentlemen, I have found THE solution to my nail wrap issues – Jamberry Nails Wraps ($17.00 CDN). You have all seen my struggles with nail wraps over the last year, first with NCLA, then with Incoco which were the best ones so far and finally last Christmas with Kiss Nail Dress Strips. Now there is Jamberry and I will admit that I was pretty jaded about trying them, but then the lovely Katharine, a Canadian Jamberry Consultant, offered to let me have a go at them and insisted they would work for me. Well, they did and I was shaking I was so impressed!
What makes Jamberry nail wraps DIFFERENT? HEAT. You need a hair dryer or some form of hot air blowing on the nail wraps to soften them for about 5 seconds. At first, this sounded like WAY more work than was necessary, but it’s the heat that gives that creaseless finish. See a crease? Heat it up and smooth away. Heat and pressure are key to giving yourself the perfect “Jammicure”.
Kiss | Gel Dress Nails with Peel-Off Removal (French Manicure)
I recently tried my hand (I realize how apt that expression sounds in this context) at the Kiss Gel Dress Nails and after having quite a bit of creasing at the tip of my nails using the full nail strips, I vowed to experiment one more time with just the French tips. Just a little bit of info for those of you who may have missed my first review, Gel Dress Nails are currently the only gel nail strips on the market that can be cured with LED/UV light and have peel-off removal. Cool, right?!
Review | Incoco Nail Polish Appliques
I have an exciting post for you today because it involves nail wraps that WORK for me! Don’t let my childlike application fool you! These are among the best nail polish appliques I have used and I have been around the block when it comes to nail strips! I have seen so many positive reviews for Incoco Nail Polish Appliques, but because of my bad luck with nail strips I am always hesitant to pay for something that might not work at all for me.
Incoco is based out of Clifton, New Jersey with development, production and packaging happening all in one place. You will see from their website that there are a TON of different designs for your nails AND toes! Incoco nail strips are made of real nail polish and are 3 in 1, meaning base, colour and top coat all in one strip. They are also 3-free and can withstand up to 14 days of wear!
Review | NCLA Nail Wraps
I’m going to start by saying that nail wraps are not my friend. I have tried a couple of different brands and by the end of it, I just wish I had painted my nails instead. So far, I’ve tried Sally Hansen, OPI, and Perl and no luck. Sometimes the strips were too thin other times, too thick. Out of those three fails, the Sally Hansen ones were the best, so when I was offered the opportunity to review some NCLA nail wraps from Nail Polish Canada I really had nothing to lose.
NCLA has some of the edgiest and funkiest nail wrap designs I have ever seen! The designs are unapologetically loud and attention-grabbing and I was praying that these would work with my incredibly C-curved nails.
