Petit Vour | July 2014 “Summer Loves” Beauty Box

Don’t laugh because this may be a summer box, BUT it is also my second to last Petit Vour even though I was heartbroken to end my subscription. Many reasons have gone into not talking about this box until now and if any of you were to look at my blogging history for July, it was probably one of THE quietest months for me thanks to a super terrible work situation and it’s funny how I can actually “feel” how unhappy I was through those July posts. Well, THAT took a turn for the personal so I’ll regroup and bring this post back to a really awesome Petit Vour box!

Beauty Box Weekends #5 | Petit Vour June 2014 “Bon Voyage” Edition

“Bon Voyage” can now mean “goodbye to summer” when it comes to today’s edition of Beauty Box Weekends. It’s still sunny in Vancouver, which is rare, so I am grateful for every day where I can still slather on sunscreen and not whip out an umbrella. June’s Petit Vour had a couple of really solid products that had me pretty happy overall so let’s get into it, shall we?

Let’s have weekends be all about beauty boxes and time to catch up on beauty mail, shall we? I have been subscribed to at least 5 beauty boxes since 2011 and I decided to do something drastic this month and cancel all of them. That’s right. All of them. I still have the Julep one because it seems like a hassle to have to call, but I am part of that group of Mavens that can skip boxes any time so I have skipped August and will keep doing so unless something utterly amazing appears. August will be my last Petit Vour box (for now) so starting with May, we will catch up!

February’s Petit Vour Box had a bit of a romantic theme in honour of Valentine’s Day and contained some really lovely products that I still haven’t had time to enjoy and it is now May…life of a beauty lover right?

January’s Petit Vour theme was all about looking your best for the new year. January’s box wasn’t too exciting, but it definitely included items that I would incorporate into my daily routine. Maybe that was the reason why I didn’t find it all that exciting. It was just too darn useful!

Petit Vour | December 2013 “Winter Wonders”

I received December’s Petit Vour box in the midst of my move so I literally did my “oohs” and “aahs” and had to put the box away in my “beauty corner” to focus on the rest of the apartment. Now, I’m able to really look at all of my beauty boxes and enjoy what’s in them!

After a fairly good October Petit Vour Box, November was also one that I was quite happy with! I love that a Canadian company was featured as well! I’m also pleasantly surprised to see so many makeup companies that are vegan-friendly and strive to make their products as healthy as possible.

After saying goodbye to Glymm, Glossybox and most recently Seasonsbox, I thought that maybe I could treat myself to one more subscription box. After discovering Petit Vour through My Subscription Addiction (don’t look here EVER if you think you might waver in willpower!) I knew this was the next subscription to try as it is a vegan-friendly beauty box! Like most beauty box subscriptions, there is also a reward system where 50 PV points can be earned with each monthly survey. At 1500 PV points, you will receive a FREE Petit Vour box so I think it might be awhile for me! You do get 300 PV points for referring friends, but I’ve come not to rely on points anymore as both Glymm and Glossybox screwed subscribers out of their points in the end. I now just focus on the actual products that I receive!
