ORLY Hot Tropics Swatch
Purchased by me

This past week has been an absolute whirlwind of activity! I have been helping out with opening the new Chaumet Oakridge location and since Oakridge as a mall has been undergoing construction since 2020, it has been very complicated trying setup a new store while the mall itself is also undergoing construction! The team is new so I have also been training them a little bit and advising on how best to setup their store for half the day and then coming back to my own store. Needless to say, I have been tired, but glad to see that I was able to assist effectively as the store seems to be as ready as it will ever be!

Shoppers Drug Mart Redemption Goodies!

There was a Shoppers Drug Mart super redemption event about two weeks ago and I cannot believe it has taken me so long to share what I picked up with you all! Time is just flying and work has been long and very busy so forgive me for this and all future tardiness! I wasn’t going to redeem any points, but then I saw two things that my heart had always wanted…dear Mia and the most overpriced LED lamp I’ve ever seen.

Top 12 Nail Polishes of 2012!

Although the idea isn’t anything particularly new, I’ve never done one of these posts before. I figure, if I’m sitting here reflecting on notable events of 2012 I should mention the nail polishes that have made an impression on me. To some, it may sound superficial how much nail polish is a part of my life, but I consider nail art to be a true hobby of mine and every artist needs a medium and canvas. Nail polish and nails are mine and for many of you. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that nail polish is not only fun and fashionable, but therapeutic in its uses as well. I should add that not all of the nail polishes chosen were released in 2012, so here’s to my favourites of 2012!

Apples for Back to School!

I just this video from cutepolish today and it was so cute that I had to try this right away! Sorry, for some reason my hands look so dry in this picture. The apples are just so darn cute that I cannot get enough of them!

For the red, I used Orly – Ma Cherie, the stem is China Glaze – IX and the leaf is China Glaze – Gaga for Green.

Is this a cutepolish design you might want to try? Happy Sunday!

Orly–Sweet Peacock

I know, it’s strange. I don’t normally do back to back nail posts, but Flirty Tankini was chipping like crazy and coming off in almost whole pieces on both hands so I had to take off the few remaining bits and find another colour to wear. Excuse the dry cuticles, but this has got to be one of my favourite blue polishes! Here is Orly Sweet Peacock which is a rich (2 coats) metallic blue foil that was a breeze to apply. I am also really loving the rubberized cap! I never thought I would like blue, but I can’t get enough of this!

Anybody have any other “non-work appropriate” colours they love?
