With the Oscars being in February, this month’s Ipsy Bag was all about being red carpet ready with smoky eyes and makeup that will last even through the Oscars!
Thoughts: I have only ever tried a Pop Beauty nail polish, so a makeup product to try is nice even if I have enough mascara to paint the lashes of every man, woman and child.
Full size: 0.25oz/$20.50
I received: 0.17oz/$13.94
Thoughts: I don’t like these. This is the third time I have received them and I find it harder to apply mascara with these.
Full size: 10 cards/$6.99
I received: 2 cards/$1.40
Thoughts: I love how cute these samples are! What a great little quad! The perfect colours for a smoky eye. I have a Coastal Scents palette and the pigmentation is awesome.
Full size: Prices vary based on palette
I received: ~$2?
Thoughts: This primer feels a lot like a moisturizer and gives my skin a smooth and soft finish. Not quite that silky finish that something like Benefit’s Porefessional gives, but is still quite pleasant.
Full size: 1.01oz/$31.00
I received: 0.5oz/$$15.35
Thoughts: I’m awful with gel eye liners so I don’t know how I feel about receiving one, but from what people tell me, they are the best thing since sliced bread so I should maybe give it another try.
Full size: 5g/$30.00(on sale)
I received: 2g/$12.00?
Total Value of February Ipsy Bag: $44.69
The only thing I really hated were the Lash Cards, but everything else was a winner for me, even the gel eye liner. My favourite products would have to be the Pixi primer and the quad eye shadow from Coastal Scents. I am still loving Ipsy like crazy and if you haven’t signed up yet, it’s one of the better bags around as there is almost always a makeup product every month.
See you next month!
