SHEET MASK | Pixi Beauty + Hello Kitty A for Apples Multi-Vitamin Infusion Sheet Mask

Pixi Beauty x Hello Kitty A for Apples Multi-Vitamin Infusion Sheet Mask
Purchased by me

No joke, but this the first Pixi product I have purchased! Pixi has always been incredibly generous with their press packages, but this was something that I do not believe was sent out and I had to have it! The Shoppers closest to me did not carry the sheet masks at all, but I happened to be at the Shoppers on Burrard Street in downtown Vancouver and they had all of the Pixi + Hello Kitty products so I controlled myself and ONLY picked up a box of the A for Apples sheet masks!

MAKEUP | Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pens

During the height of Quarantine, I think we all had some time to go through our personal possessions and either dump or rediscover things. While I actively use Pixi's skincare (sheet masks, exfoliators, moisturizers and face oils), with the exception of the MatteLast Liquid Lipsticks and Pixiglow blushes, I often forget to use their other makeup products and they have some GOOD products! I recently pulled out the Endless Silky Eye Pens as I have been more conscious about my eye makeup for work and trying to have some fun with shades other than black or brown. I never want to go too crazy with my colours though as my eyeshadow is usually a neutral colour and these five eyeliners are work-friendly and don't require too much effort to coordinate with.

SKINCARE | 5 Facial Oils That You May Want in Your Life

I love that facial oils are more common and seen as more acceptable in a skincare routine. I tend to use oils in place of moisturizer on days that I have sheet masked (I guess that's almost everyday?) if my sheet mask is on the more hydrating side. There are so many options and scents to choose from now that I realized I was using quite a number and hadn't really talked about them all in one place before so today I've got everything from drugstore to luxury beauty pricing!

SHEET MASKS | Top 11 Sheet Masks for 2019

Some PR samples featured and will be marked with an "*"

2019 was definitely the year of the sheet mask with many brands surprising me with ones of their own. I made a list of all of the sheet masks that I tried this year (yes, there were a lot!) and these 11 sheet masks were the ones that stood out so let's get started!

SKINCARE | Pixi Glow Glycolic and Plump Collagen Boost Sheet Masks

I know I just blogged about Pixi Beauty last week, but these new sheet masks NEEDED to be discussed! Just released, Pixi has added two more skintreats to their crazy large repertoire of skincare in the form of skin-boosting sheet masks! Yes, you heard me! My favourite thing in the beauty world has now come to Pixi and I had to try them immediately! It's rare that I immediately sit down and photograph a newly arrived product, but I have a feeling some of you are just as curious about these new sheet masks I am!

MAKEUP | My Favourite Pixi Blushes

I feel like a broken record this year with my saying "I wish I had discovered this/these earlier!", but I have actively been trying to use what I have in my collection this 2019 which are just far too many untrieds whether they be press samples or things I have purchased on my own. When it comes to Pixi Beauty, I have focused a lot on their skincare and with good reason (because it's awesome and innovative), but they actually have some fantastic makeup too! This month I made a personal goal to dive more into Pixi when it came to makeup and I am so glad I did because I have been quite surprised at how much I have been liking everything! For the sake of Marie Kondo organization, I have decided to group "like with like" starting with my favourite Pixi blushes!

SKINCARE | Exfoliating the Crap Away with Pixi Peel & Polish

This month's CBB brand of the month is none other than cult favourite British brand, Pixi Beauty! I have been all about Pixi's Skintreats over the last year or so and one of my most regularly used and loved products is the dual exfoliator Peel & Polish*! This is a "radiance revealing" enzyme peel that uses fruit enzymes to exfoliate and polish the skin while having a 6% lactic acid concentration! I so rarely see the actual percentages of AHA shown on the packaging and lemme tell ya, 6% is generous! This is legit chemical exfoliation!

HOLIDAY | Totally Awesome Gift Sets from Pixi Beauty!

I'm so sorry for bombarding your feeds with things to buy. I have been trying so hard to keep my spending in check, but it is honestly getting to the point where I have come to the conclusion that odds are, I'm probably not going to be putting much into savings this month, but I think I am almost done with my Christmas shopping with the exception of hubby. I never know what to get the guy because it certainly won't be these glorious holiday sets from Pixi Beauty! This year Pixi has a number of holiday sets ranging from $20-$50 consisting of makeup and of course Pixi's famous Skin Treats!

Ipsy Bag | March 2014 “Destination Beauty”

I am so glad that I have cut down on my beauty box subs because even with the four I now have, it’s still still brutally hard to keep up! My memories of March are hazy, but thank God there are beauty boxes like Ipsy to jog my memory! They act like “beauty clocks” for me. I loved the makeup bag that the March Ipsy came in and I see now that the Ipsy website is selling a messenger bag in this pattern! Pretty cute, right? The items inside were quite good and pleased me greatly.

Catch up, catch up! I actually really liked this Ipsy Bag so I won’t say much more and just snap to it!

Luxe Box | Fall 2013 Edition

Once again, the Loose Button Luxe Box has creeped up on me! I always forget about it because of its quarterly delivery, but the products inside are always so luxe that I get so excited when I know it’s coming! I didn’t think I’d enjoy the quarterly subscription, but I think the Luxe Box works MUCH better this way and the product selection is much more consistent than when I first signed up 2 years ago. For the Fall Luxe Box, I opted for the Shu Uemura upgrade for an extra $7 as I was just too curious about the Cleansing Oil Shampoo! The rest of the box was pretty good too so read on to find out more about it!

Ipsy | August “Glamour Academy” Edition

Wow, so I didn’t think I’d be this busy this month, but I suppose wedding planning DOES take up a lot of your free time! I quite enjoyed the August Ipsy bag as the actual makeup bag reminded me of Harry Potter and the product selection consisted of items that I had been lusting for!

February 2013 Ipsy Bag

With the Oscars being in February, this month’s Ipsy Bag was all about being red carpet ready with smoky eyes and makeup that will last even through the Oscars!

Beauty Swap Time with Tarah!

This is the second swap that I had going back in October/November and is the second time I have swapped with Tarah, who is an amazing swapper from the States! Everything was individually wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper and I savoured every moment of unwrapping! And no, I couldn’t wait until Christmas! This is what’s so great about being an adult and not living with parents anymore! My turf, my rules!

I won the Beauty Crazed October Giveaway!

This past month has been a time of major upheaval for me in terms of career and  has finally sorted itself out for the better this week. When I found out earlier this month that I had won this giveaway from Beauty Crazed, believe it or not, it just made me look at the stress I was experiencing in a much more positive light. It’s amazing how beauty products can change your outlook isn’t it? ;-)
