NAILS | Happy St.Patrick's Day with Revlon Parfumerie's Wintermint

I thought I was going to be spending the night at home this St.Patrick's Day because I'm old and tired, but the hubby decided that we should go out for dinner and so we did! We were both the only ones who wore green to work and a couple eating dinner across from us even complimented us as they left the restaurant! Last year, I did leprechaun nails (here), but got caught up with finishing a presentation for work so instead I went with a very straightforward manicure by bringing one of my FAVOURITE polishes from the vault - the Revlon Parfumerie Collection released 4 years ago. Not only was the pigmentation on these polishes fantastic, but when they dried, they smelled just like the colours they were named after!

Wintermint is a near dupe of Deborah Lippmann's Mermaid's Dream (swatch) and as someone who owned the latter 4 years ago and loved it, I just HAD to know how Wintermint measured up! I also adore the smell of a mint so even if it didn't work out, I would at least have minty nails. All I can say is that both are nice shades and if you have one you don't need the other, but I prefer Mermaid's Dream as the green is deeper and the glitter more dense than that of Wintermint.

I am wearing three coats of Wintermint plus top coat and once dried, the polish smelled slightly like spearmint. Quite refreshing really! I also had just received my Born Pretty order of snowflake nail decals that I ordered for CHRISTMAS and decided that snowflakes and Wintermint made a good pair resulting in THIS manicure. I know I have been taking it easy in the nail art department, but I have vacation coming up so who knows what I will get up to?!

I hope everyone is excited for the weekend and of course the official arrival of Spring!
