July 2012 Julep Maven Box–Classic with a Twist

I feel like I haven’t written about a Maven Box in FOREVER! I guess that’s how it feels when you skip a month as well as a Mystery Box! This July Maven Box was a box that could not be skipped as it was in honour of Canada and Independence Day! When I saw that we were going to be getting a bonus nail polish called “O Canada!” I gasped! What a cool idea! Of course when I saw “America – The Beautiful” with its star-shaped glitter, I had to get it as my add-on! The other reason I was so unbelievably excited about this Maven Box was because this month was all about matching lips and nails which means we also received a lip gloss to match!

Here is what I received in my July Maven Box:

O Canada – “Sheer glitter with accent of cardinal red, it's like nail art in a bottle!”

Freida – “Electric fuchsia micro-shimmer”

Audrey – “Soft light pink micro-shimmer”

Camellia – “Soft light pink pastel lip vernis” to be paired with Audrey.

I absolutely loved this month’s Maven Box and it’s probably my favourite box to date! The only thing I didn’t like were the atomic fireball candies inside…I’m not a fan of that kind of candy, but I appreciated Julep including something extra that was appropriate for the occasion. I’ve worn Camellia already and it’s a very pale pink, almost nude shade that smells like cotton candy . I only wish this box came in time for me to wear “O Canada” for Canada Day this year, but that’s ok because there’s always next year! Or Christmas!
