New Make Up For Ever Aqua Creams!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful afternoon and I think I am about to make it just a little better with the latest additions to the already much talked about Make Up Forever Aqua line! In theme with the bright summer colours that have been making their way into our makeup are four new Aqua Creams in ultra bright and pigmented colours!

Aqua Cream is a completely smudge-proof, tear-proof, waterproof cream color that won’t crease, run or transfer.
It gives intense payoff with a highly pigmented formula that ensures the colorful, pearly hues show up on skin
while the soft, silky texture allows it to glide effortlessly onto eyelids, cheeks and lips.  The formula includes
evaporating oils to help fix the pigments on skin for impeccable hold, and a special filmogen polymer that
encapsulates the pigments to keep moisture out and render them waterproof.

Aqua Creams were created to withstand some pretty extreme environments and promise to stay on your eyes, lips and face for as long as you need them to! Sounds like what I’m looking for in a summer makeup product! Make Up For Ever are also the official makeup partners for Synchro Canada so if we ever watch them perform, we’ll be able to see how these Aqua Creams truly hold up under the elements! I also have a friend who used to do synchronized swimming and finding makeup that wouldn’t budge during her routine was always a challenge so these new Aqua Creams really made me think of her.

I was fortunate enough to receive #26 which is a beautifully bright purple with a tiny hint of shimmer to it.

I even ran my swatch under water and rubbed at it with my finger and the colour still wouldn’t budge!

Packaging: I never like pots because stuff always gets stuck underneath my long nails, but that’s my own fault… Generally, I still prefer using my fingers to apply cream shadows as opposed to brushes because it’s so much quicker and easier to blend the colour.

Formula: Surprisingly creamy and blendable! It actually reminded me a lot of the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Eye Shadows. The formula for these MUFE Aqua Creams is supposed to be creamy enough that you can actually mix different colours together to create your own unique looks. They are also really great coloured primers for powder eye shadow too. Eventually, the formula does lose some of its moisture so that you are left with a surface that’s dry to the touch, but not flakey or crumbly. I guess that’s the “colour-locking” step!

Final Verdict: Do these new Aqua Creams deliver what they promise? I think so! Granted, I haven’t tested these guys out in the rainforest, but just the fact that I had to use two cotton pads of waterproof eye makeup remover to fully get my swatch off is proof enough for me! I’m looking forward to Halloween where I can use these on my face and have the colour last all night! My sister is a cosplayer so I will definitely recommend these Aqua Creams to her for her next event! In addition to these four new summer brights, there are 15 other Aqua Cream colours that aren’t quite as intense and more wearable for everyday and also six Aqua Creams for the lips and cheeks. These new Aqua Creams can be found at Sephora for $26 each.

  2. I'm not sure why but I got so excited when I saw you posted something about this line. I think the fact that you had to use two cotton pads of waterproof eye makeup remover to get it off, after testing it under running water and rubbing, is enough proof too. They sound lovely! (:

    1. Totally try these out! I didn't even use primer, so I think if you did they really wouldn't budge at all!

    1. I might pick one up in a brown or taupe because as much as I love purple, it isn't a casual colour to wear. At least for me!

  7. Interesting. You know, I don't think I would ever pick up any items from MUF because I honestly don't think I could work with their stuff/products unless I was a member of the Cirque cast. lol. For the price, I'm way too chicken to try something that doesn't LOOK like something I'd like. Nice colour for sure though!

    1. Hmmm, I don't know the names of the exact characters, but she does a lot of Pokemon ones, but the one that stands out to me is of her as a bloody nurse with a chain saw??
