Pretty and Polished–Chelsea Chelsea Bling Bling

I cannot believe I am only wearing this polish now when this was purchased in March. I suppose this is a side effect of a being a polishaholic! This is Pretty and Polished – Chelsea Chelsea Bling Bling which I layered over SH XTreme Wear – Bubblegum Pink as it was quite sheer. CCBB is a multi-coloured glitter that sits in a sheer pink base and appears much brighter in person. I had to use 3 coats of CCBB in order to get a decent amount of glitter on my nails, but other than that, I think this is a great polish.

I can’t believe how Pretty and Polish has exploded now! I just filled out a pre-order form because I’ve had my eye on Jawbreaker for awhile. There are some great swatches available online if anyone wants to check out its white candy goodness! Anyone else fill out the pre-order for Pretty and Polished polishes?

  2. I love Pretty & Polished so much :) I didn't go for the pre-orders though, time for me to cut back big time on polish buying until I can get a job (likely next year, I plan on defending my thesis in December).

ps. I don't know if you like joining polish FB groups, but there's a new Canadian group :) https://www.facebook.com/groups/324281187658659/

    1. Joined! Oh awesome! Can I ask you what your thesis is about? For some reason, I keep thinking you're in Plant Bio...

    2. Definitely not plants, soo not my cup of tea :P

It's loosely titled "Ecological speciation of a landlocked population of rainbow smelt (Osmerus mordax) in Lochaber Lake, Nova Scotia". So molecular bio/population genetics.

I spend my days extracting fish DNA, PCR-ing sections of the DNA (microsatellites) then analyzing them, looking for hybrid smelt since there are two morphs of smelt that spawn in the same stream at the same time. Pretty neat project.

    3. So, any signs of a hybrid smelt? The only experience with PCR I've had was with C.elegans and A.thaliana and I remember just doing gel runs for months. I think your project sounds incredibly interesting. Much more interesting than plants!

  9. Cute and fun combination! The Sally Hansen is a gorgeous pink and I love my glitters :) Though it does look like it'd require many, many coats to build it up to the sparkle level that I usually go for :p

    1. The glitter was a little sparse for my liking too, but sometimes a light glitter is nice too :)
