This month’s theme is “The Great Escape” which from the looks of the makeup bag, refers to escaping winter and welcoming beach season and warmer weather. We’ve had some surprisingly sunny and warm weather here in Vancouver lately and I will admit that I pulled out my tank top, shorts and sandals today to do some grocery shopping despite the chilling breeze! I liked the makeup bag print this month and even though there wasn’t a product that completely wowed me, I was still very satisfied with what I received.
Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist
Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist tones, hydrates, and refreshes your face and hair while on the go, anytime of the day. Hydrate with the refreshing blends of organic juices for a fresh, radiant complexion.
Thoughts: This normally isn’t my kind of scent because of the ylang ylang in it, but once I actually used it, it was oddly refreshing.
Full size: 200mL/$22.00
I received: 30mL/$3.30

Perfectly portable, La Fresh® makes beauty a breeze when you’re on-the-go. For a refreshing getaway, grab any Travel Lite® and Live. Life. La Fresh.™
Thoughts: I love makeup wipes. I went to Costco and bought a 10 pack of Neutrogena ones and even with that in my arsenal, I STILL buy ones from other brands or have different scents. I have only tried La Fresh nail polish wipes, but after reading a few reviews on the Ipsy site, some girls commented saying these wipes have made their skin burn…now I’m scared, but I will try a small area first before I do my whole face!
Full size: 8 wipes/$1.99 (on sale for $1.49)
I received: *FULL SIZE*
Yaby Eye Shadow Refills in Seashell and Azalea Petal
Whether you want to make a dramatic statement or just add a veil of color to your eyes, the yaby eyeshadow refills are extremely easy to work with. Can be used wet or dry and the smooth texture allows blending with ease. All shadows are vegan friendly and the pans are reusable for mixing.
Thoughts: I really loved the colours I received as they are great neutrals and have a pleasantly soft and smooth texture. Pigmentation is great and look how cute and tiny they are!
Full size: 1 colour/$3.35
I received: *FULL SIZE* x 2
Glam RX Mini Freestyle Palette
The GlamRX Mini Freestyle Palette was made exclusively for ipsy Glam Bag subscribers. The magnetic base is the perfect spot to store pan-only eyeshadows (2 of which are included in this Glam Bag!), blushes & bronzers, or whatever you need for perfect for quick touch ups on the go! Whether you are headed off to spring break or just need a cute & clever way to store products in your bag, you can create the perfect makeup look and take it with you with your exclusive GlamRX Mini Freestyle Palette.
Thoughts: I feel like these are pretty cheap. Cardboard doesn’t feel like something that will hold up in the long run and would never replace my UNII palettes. This is a great size though and it was cute of Ipsy to pair off the eye shadows with this special edition palette.
Full size: $16.50 for the Glam RX Touch Up Palette
I received: This palette was created exclusively for Ipsy so it’s hard to put a value on it, but I’d say maybe half the price? $8.25.
Total Value of March Ipsy Bag: $20.24
Again another Ipsy bag filled with things that I have never tried and with the exception of the GlamRX palette, I will definitely use and enjoy everything! I have had a peek at the April Ipsy Bag and I am excited!
sighh... this months bag was a bust for me... I'm really enjoying the sneaks for April though!!
ReplyDeleteI hope April's is a little better!
DeleteThis bag was the reason I unsubscribed.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it certainly wasn't the best one. I'm pretty easy to please, but I think I will have to get more picky as I need to cut down on costs...
DeleteWe got the same bag! I got Azalea petals and seashell too. I use the Juice Beauty spray whenever I need a little spritz.
ReplyDeleteI quite enjoy the spray! I'll spray anyone who needs a pick me up!
DeleteMmm... beign a service created by the mighty MP, seems like every month most products are always on the "cheap" side. Not that there's anything wrong with inexpensive products but I think she should switch them up once in a while, they don't look like products she would use on a daily basis, I mean, Coastal Scents and Yaby are great but they're pretty much the same in terms of quality and colour range and we all know those "88 palette" days are long gone for her. If I was subscribed to this service I'd be seriously disappointed. The bag looks cute but there's only so many makeup pouches I need and I most certainly wouldn't pay $20+ for any of them : / Glad you like what you got, though Jayne, enjoy it then sweetie ^^ xx
ReplyDeleteIt's true that Ipsy is definitely not a "luxury" subscription service and most of the products are mid-range with very few exceptions. I think with my new sub to Seasonsbox, I feel like I definitely have to cut something!
DeleteLooks like you got a lot of great stuff! I've been thinking about signing up for Ipsy and your reviews are definitely persuading me(:
ReplyDeleteI'm also hosting my very first giveaway so check it out if you'd like: 100+ Followers Giveaway!

DeleteThat freestyle palette is cute, but too bad it's on the cheaply made side...
ReplyDeletehmm I'm getting iffy about ipsy now lol. I'm still interested in subscribing but I keep backing away...
It's really cheap, but I want to see if I can possibly use it before I say goodbye to it...
