MAKEUP LOOK | Teeez Cosmetics Mini Reviews with Swatches

Dutch company, Teeez Cosmetics, launched last year at Hudson's Bay in Canada and initially, I wasn't too crazy about it. I found the packaging a little "too cool" for me and thought that I was just too old for this type of branding. Then, I TRIED the products. And shut my mouth because the products were freakin' awesome! Graphic packaging aside, the actual product quality was impressive and is another example of not judging a book by its cover!

As you can see, Teeez has got some very edgy packaging, which I actually find a bit distracting, but once I actually started swatching, I seriously loved it all.

I received the Sealed with a Kiss Lip Duo in a Dash of Plum* ($28.00 CDN) and of course silly me, at time of swatching didn't realize that "duo" meant there was a gloss side to this lipstick! The graphic packaging covered up the glossy, pigmented beautiful red that I should have used on top of the equally pigmented matte lipstick! The gold bullet packaging looks almost vintage and was one of my favourite products in this assortment.

The Spectrum of Stars Eyeshadows in Sepia Shine* and Vanilla Beam* ($24.00 CDN) were another favourite of mine as the formula was soft, buttery and pigmented. With a total of 18 shades, these two shades were the perfect shimmery neutrals. The ball packaging is bulky and though they look great for Instagram flatlays, they aren't the most practical on a day to day basis. I still don't have the heart to depot these though because I feel like I'm holding magical little stress balls.

I didn't end up trying the Desert Metals Mascara in Tigers Eye* ($27.00 CDN) because brown mascara never shows up on my black lashes, but this a water-based, smudge-proof mascara made with silk proteins.

The Cloud Nine Eyeliner in Bronzed Glaze* ($24.00 CDN) has a metallic finish that lasts all day. The brush applicator is super thin and allows the drawing of both thick and thin lines. I tend to like thin lines since I can never do an even cat eye so this brush is perfect!

Final verdict:
I am currently shopping Teeez at The Bay online and yeah, I'm gonna need to try more stuff (Fashion Vendetta review coming)! I know the packaging might not be for everyone, but quality was awesome across all products and I will definitely be trying more! I have some nail polishes as well that I will be sharing soon!
