I always feel like I am cheating when I use water decals for nail art, but they just make a manicure look so put together SO QUICKLY! Since we are focusing on British beauty brands this month (here) for the CBB I thought it was finally time to not just pull out, but UNWRAP the Models Own polishes I won from Live Love Polish three years ago! The HyperGel Gel Effect Polishes came up during the gel-like polish heydey and have a finish that is super smooth and shiny. The sad thing is that you can't even get these polishes from LLP anymore, but I know you can get still them through the Models Own website.
With the glorious May weather we've been having, it almost feels like summer with Sunday's temperature being a hot 29°C! That's pretty much beach weather which means I am officially allowed to wear beach-themed manicures!

I started off by painting my pinky and index nails two coats of Models Own HyperGel Blue Glint and my middle and ring nails two coats of Models Own HyperGel Naked Glow. I then took my sea-themed water decals* from Born Pretty and soaked them in water for about 30 seconds and removed the decal from the paper backing. I couldn't tell if the negative space on the backing was white or clear when it was on the paper, but thankfully it was clear so the nude shade Naked Glow was visible. I just wanted to mimic the colour of sand!
After trimming off the excess decal and cleaning up the cuticle area and tips of my nails, I applied a coat of Rainbow Honey's Candy Mountain Scented Top Coat, which is a thicker top coat, and that was it!
I do not receive any compensation from the coupon code. It's all just for you guys!
