I am definitely still feeling summer as when I left for vacation, it was the beginning of September and since coming back last night to buckets of rain, I am mentally adjusting to the reality that Fall in Vancouver is here to stay aka "A HELL OF A LOT OF RAIN". While I was away in Maine, the weather was fairly humid so I was able to get away with lighter moisturizers on both my face and body, but more importantly, it gave me a chance to enjoy the limited edition Zoella Splash Botanics Collection!

The collection has a total of seven pieces, mainly bath and body, two of which I took on vacation with me. The Quench Me Body Sorbet* is a light gel moisturizer containing coconut and lychee fruit extract and absorbs very quickly into the skin. In humid weather, the last thing anyone wants is feeling like there is a thick layer of moisture sitting on top of the skin. I was afraid that the scent would be too sweet as coconut and lychee can be done right and OH SO WRONG, but I was pleasantly surprised at the "maturity" of the scent as it was refreshingly floral as well as warm and comforting at the same time.
If you have ever tried The Body Shop Body Sorbets, the consistency is very similar with the feeling of slight granules that melt as the moisturizer is massaged into the skin. For drier weather or the upcoming Winter season, I do not think this level of moisture will be enough, but for humid weather this was perfect!
I do apologize for the blurriness of this photo as I did not have a close enough look at my camera preview and now there isn't much product left in the tub to showcase so know that this moisturizer is white and gel-like and let us move on to the next product!
For those of you who followed my Instagram stories, I pretty much gave up on wearing makeup on Day 3 in Maine because I was only around family and there was NO ONE ELSE around. We stayed in Kennebunk which is right along the coast and was quite deserted at this time of the year. It just seemed pointless to wear makeup only to walk on the beach and play frisbee so I stuck with sunscreen and lip balm layered with the So Soft Lip Oil* which made me a feel a little more pretty and left my lips feeling smooth.
The wand is flexible with a pointed doe-foot applicator with the lip oil applying clear and smelling like juicy cherries! Again, cherry is a scent that can be done in either a good or a bad way (medicinal ugh), but thankfully this lip oil had just the right amount of fragrance to make it seem extra yummy!
I have enjoyed Zoella's previous collections and Splash Botanics was no exception. The formulations themselves are not novel, but the packaging and cohesiveness of the collections has always been quite nice and make me feel "pamper-worthy" whenever I take them out!
The Zoella Splash Botanics Collection is available at London Drugs, select PharmaSave locations and at www.farleyco.ca.
