Last week I had mentioned that MaskerAide had come out with four new masks and after having so much fun with Bubble Bubble Pop and Crystal Clear, I knew I would have a blast with Rose All Day!

The Rose All Day Rose Gold Peel Off Mask* ($7.00 CDN) contains actual 24K gold flakes and aims to brighten, improve skin texture and reduce pore size (we know this is genetically pre-determined, but we CAN clear them out!). It even removes fine facial hair so that while I'm getting a facial, I'm getting waxed too!

What's great about this particular mask is that there are TWO applications inside so that you can either mask with a friend or save it for next time! Let's also talk about how CUTE the packaging is! Like two bottles of Rose!

I did not expect the mask to be as shiny and rose gold as it was. I thought that it would be just sort of silvery, but it actually DOES come out shiny AF! In terms of scent, the website says this mask should smell citrusey, but I smell more of a floral? The ingredient list tells me I should be smelling citrus too so I really don't know what's going on!

The ingredients for something as disposable as a peel-off mask are fairly decent consisting of honey, royal jelly, rose water, collagen and gold all in the first half of the ingredients list! In the last half, there are even peptides which I have never seen in a peel-off mask though I don't know what benefit they would serve since they are being peeled off unless they are being transferred to the skin via the physical mask?

Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, SD Alcohol 40-B, Polyvinyl Alcohol, PVP, Bismuth Oxychloride, Mel/Honey Extract/Extrait De Miel, Royal Jelly Extract, Propolis Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Methylpropanediol, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, Xanthan Gum, Dipropylene Glycol, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Gold (CI77480), Butylene Glycol, Nonapeptide-1, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Copper Tripeptide-1, Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Hexapeptide-9, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Iron Oxides (CI 77492), Limonene, Linalool

The mask takes about 15-20 minutes to fully dry and I did the "scrunch face" test to see when it was time to start peeling! The instructions say to smile to give the mask that little bit of give to provide you with a loose point to start peeling, but I always prefer to peel from a free edge like the side of my face, forehead or chin.

It was a little painful to peel off like a lot of peel-off masks I have tried in the past so go slowly unless you are in an area where you would like to remove some facial hair!

Hydration: Skin was super smooth and soft.

Final verdict: My skin was soooo baby soft, smooth and even in tone once I removed the mask! I think this mask would also be great for my bearded hubby who needs a good exfoliation and peel to keep his skin happy. I have often found peel-off masks a bit messy to apply, but I really should focus on the results because this one really left my skin feeling clarified, but soft which is a combination I don't often find with these types of masks.
