I have been wanting to match my nails to my ever-growing collection of face masks for awhile now and what better opportunity than the contest London Drugs is currently having for doing exactly that! I had a hard time deciding which mask to use as inspiration because I like wearing patterned and fun ones, but eventually decided on this watercolour design which is one of the face masks my mother-in-law made for me during Lockdown in April. Isn't it pretty?
How many of you are buying masks to match your outfits? I am already planning ahead on stocking up on some glittery ones for the holidays even though I don't plan on going out or seeing people in person. I guess I just like knowing that I can be dressy even with a face mask on! Are you all used to seeing masked faces now? I am at the point where whether someone is masked or not, I just look in their eyes and start talking. I've almost stopped thinking about it. I find that I do have to ask people to repeat themselves sometimes, but I guess that's just part of not being able to read lips either. Have you seen the clear masks? I think they would get so foggy!
This manicure was super fun to do and just involves using a makeup sponge to dab all of the nail polish shades in random areas of the nail. Once I had covered the white nail polish base, I applied a layer of top coat and that was it! A part of me wanted to add some gold leaf or glitter, but I resisted even though I think it would have looked so pretty!
