Miniso often has JMsolution masks so I tend to grab a couple whenever they are in stock. This particular mask I bought at a Korean store in Montreal and realized that the expiration date was creeping up and that I should use it! The Marine Luminous Pearl Deep Moisture Mask (wow, that's a mouthful!) is an incredibly hydrating 3-step sheet mask with each step containing mineral-rich seawater, pearl extract, collagen and hydrolyzed conchiolin protein (taken from the inside of the mollusc shell). Usually when a product says it contains pearl, there isn't usually a whole lot, but with this mask there are so many ingredients related to the oyster and water that the whole "marine aspect" is fully realized in this one sheet mask!
After cleansing and toning, we head into the Marine Waterfull Essence which was a thick, clear gel that easily covered my entire face and neck and melted into my skin quickly as a good essence should!
Next up, was the actual sheet mask which is made of a soft, absorbent tencel cupra sheet which has a a bit of stretch allowing for a great fit around the jawline especially. The mask was very well-soaked in essence.
The final step is an eye/face cream, but as an eye cream there is just so much in this one little package! Definitely way more than what you would need for around your eyes so what I ended up doing was using the whole pack as a moisturizer for my face. Note that this moisturizer is pretty intense as it contains mineral oil, shea butter, cocoa seed butter in addition to the "pearl and marine goodness".
Mask Summary:
Price: Can vary, but I picked this up for $2.99 CDN for a single mask. Amazon is currently carrying a box of 10 for $18.49.
Skin concerns: Dullness, hydration
Scent: Almost like baby powder and the scent does not fade. I found it quite strong!
Essence Type: Thick, clear gel-like
Duration: 20 minutes
Thickness: Thin
Mask Fit: Pretty good with a few folds here and there around the chin, but the mask was soaking in essence so things felt "glued" on
Tackiness: Light, but it took about 2 hours to "die down"
Hydration: Good especially when using the eye cream as moisturizer!
Other notes: The scent was so overwhelming that I don't see myself using this again because of it, but my skin looked so glowy and even-toned that I had to do a double take in the mirror!
Final verdict: I have been struggling with this one because the results were just SO NICE! My skin was positively radiant like I had just gotten a facial and I want to relive that look every day of my life LOL! My skin wasn't sticky like I was expecting it to be with a mask this hydrating and it felt so soft and smooth to the touch. The thing that is making me hesitate was how strong the baby powder fragrance was for each step and it did not fade. It hung around right up until I took off the sheet mask and then had to smell it again with the moisturizer. While I would not go out of my way to buy this mask because of that, it they are on sale, I would have a hard time saying no to trying it again because depending on my mood, I might be able to put up with the scent in exchange for some serious glow!
