I did something today that I have not done in a very long time and that was to hang out at someone else's house and play board games and have brunch with friends! Everyone was fully vaccinated and there were only six of us so it wasn't like a huge shindig, but we have all also been fairly isolated with myself and one other person being the only ones NOT working from home. It was great to see friends again even if just for a few hours and we played a game which stressed me out called "Cockroach Poker" as I am not good at bluffing especially with my husband! By the time we got home shortly before dinner, I kind of just wanted to socially decompress hence the lateness of this #SheetMaskSunday post!

I have raved about For Beloved One for both their Cloud Silk masks and their biocellulose masks over the last 5 years as I really haven't come across many brands that even come close to the quality I experience from this Taiwanese brand. Whenever I review a biocellulose mask, the FBO masks are my gold standard and at $30 each, they'd better be! I have reviewed a FBO biocellulose mask before (here) so I will not go into the gory details of what makes these particular masks so much better than the rest, but suffice it to say that newest Flawless Brightening Ethyl Ascorbic Acid Biocellulose Mask did not disappoint!
This is the first biocellulose mask I have used containing 3-O Ethyl Ascorbic Acid which is a newer, more stable form of our skincare favourite, vitamin C! While I never expect to see results with just one mask use, the idea behind biocellulose masks is to use them about once a week consistently. Expensive, I know!

Skin concerns: Lighten dark spots, acne scars and brighten skin
Scent: A little bit medicinal, but biocellulose masks tend to not have any added fragrance

Thickness: Thick for biocellulose, but this is a GOOD thing when it comes to this material as it means it has been fermenting for longer!

Other notes: My skin looked so white that my dark circles actually looked super pronounced!
Final verdict: The thickness of the FBO biocellulose masks is so thick that my face always feel delightfully cold upon removal which aids in keeping redness at bay even if it is slightly temporary. While I can't tell if it was the temperature or the face that this mask had vitamin C in it, having my dark circles look so intense because the rest of my skin was so white was a bit startling! I had beautifully hydrated skin though which just needed a very light layer of moisturizer to seal everything in. My skin had bounce and was also very smooth. I love these masks so much even all this time after being introduced to them and even though this was a press sample, have purchased the other masks over the years. Highly recommended!
