I really miss wearing foundation some days because in the last few years it was one of those makeup items that started getting really close to skincare for me. It was never about covering up my skin, but enhancing it and as months of mask-wearing went by, I got really lazy and now I rarely wear any foundation. That is, until about a month ago when I got tired of seeing my reflection in those moments of masklessness while eating, drinking or just needing some fresh air with redness around my nose and cheeks. Sometimes it's nice to see a flawless finish even if it's just for yourself and that's how I feel about makeup in general. Yes, I wear it to look presentable to others, but a larger percentage of why I wear it is how it makes me feel which is why if I'm feeling crap in the morning, I'll still throw on a full face of makeup, know that I look amazing and then cover it all up with a face mask!

I mentioned that foundation started bordering close to skincare for me which is why I have really been enjoying IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Foundation + Skincare. I haven't used any other foundation from IT Cosmetics since their original CC Cream, which took me some time to love, and I guess I just assumed that this new foundation would be similar, but I was wrong! I like it waaaaay more!

This is a medium coverage, truly lightweight and buildable foundation that apparently will give you better looking skin with every use. This part, I don't really believe is all that true as the actual skincare ingredients are way at the bottom, BUT my skin did look very naturally flawless when I applied just a thin layer and I would often forget that I had anything sitting on my face.

I was sent the shade Light Warm #23 which on initial swatch, looked a bit too yellow, but ended up matching me pretty perfectly once the product landed on my skin. Note that I apply all of my foundation with the Juno & Co. Makeup Sponge.

BARE FACE

One thing I didn't experience was the hydration aspect this foundation claimed to have. The blend of various silicone-based ingredients gave this foundation a pleasant non-sticky finish which is why I enjoy it more than their CC Cream as I don't even need to dust powder over top to take away that tackiness. I have a feeling these silicones gave the impression of dryness, almost like a slightly tight feeling, but there was no visible dryness to be detected. As the day wore on and some of my skin's natural oils kicked in, that tight feeling faded without my foundation breaking down on me.

Final verdict: Overall, I am a BIG fan of this foundation because it feels like NOTHING, isn't sticky and doesn't even need a setting powder for it to last all day on my face. It has also been my preferred foundation in combination with a mask because it is lightweight and the finish doesn't allow for much transfer. All in all, a foundation that I will continue to use and one that worked out better for me than I thought it would!
