One product I really got to know these last two years, especially at home, is the lip oil. When I want a bit of an upgrade from a lip balm, this is what I want to use as I find it to be a quick way of looking a hint more sexy while still having my lips feel soothed and comforted. What was a bestseller in Asia is now a limited time release in Canada and I truly hope they are here to stay because I just keep all these shades on rotation because they feel and look so natural! Let's see more of the Revlon Kiss Glow Lip Oils!
The Kiss Glow Lip Oils promise naturally glowy lips with a natural shine that has zero tackiness, leaves a hint of colour and infuses lips with soft hydration thanks to a blend of Crambe Abyssinica oil, moringa oil and micronized mother of pearl. They come in eight beautifully natural looking shades that truly look more muted on the lips than what the packaging depicts!
I quite liked the metallic look of the packaging with their little dropper-like lids! The applicator is plush feeling and has one of those little reservoir tips so that one swipe is really all you need.
As you can see from the swatches, the lip oils blend out so that just a hint of colour is left over. I have been wearing these at work and firstly, they last all day and the colour leaves a bit of a tint on the lips so even if you have "bare lips" they still have a bit of life to them.
001 Proud to Be Pink*
I consider this my "bare lips, but not" shade and is pale enough on me that it is essentially like me applying a clear lip gloss.
002 Red-y to Glow*
This definitely looks more pink on me than red, but works well to brighten up a neutral eye look.
This doesn't look like peach on me at all, but a more concentrated pink and a part of me wonders if my lips were already starting to get tinted at this point as it swatched much more orange on my arm.
004 Glow'd Up Rose*
This is my FAVOURITE shade and one that I wear constantly! This is a great nude and one that I highly recommend!
008 Berry Brilliant*
I feel like this is the brightest of and most bold of the group and is one that I don't find myself reaching for too often, but it is a nice option for a bright lip without really doing much work!
009 Bouncy Beige*
Bouncy Beige is another great neutral and one that I enjoy wearing frequently.
010 Nuditude*
Nuditude is similar to Bouncy Beige, but with a but more of a tan which I could see going really well with a fresh summer glow.
012 Beaming Brown*
Beaming Brown looked so dark in the tube, but once I applied it to my lips it evolved into this almost dressy shade that makes me think of Fall.
Final verdict: I think these are a huge hit for Revlon as these lips oils aren't thick and goopy. I have used some lips oils that literally feel like a helmet of product, but these are just the right amount of oil, smooth and actually soothe dry lips. I get that same feeling of relief that I do from applying Vaseline, but in a much more lightweight way. I love practically all of the shades and I hope these are here to stay!
You can find the Revlon Kiss Glow Lip Oils at all mass drugstores.
