When I initially started by sheet mask journey, the Jayjun Anti-Dust Therapy Mask kept popping up as one of the "cool" ones to try with its multi--step routine all built into one packet. The packaging was also one of the prettiest I had ever seen (I mean, LOOK at those flowers!) and though I picked up this mask quite awhile ago, it wasn't until this month that I actually took the time to experience it! I think it just came down to the fact that everytime I wanted to try it, I kept telling myself that I "needed to take photos first" because I wanted to feature it here. It seems I finally got my act together to showcase this very cool sheet mask!
If you are going to ask me what "Anti-Dust Therapy" means, I don't know. Maybe something is getting lost in translation, but all I have been really able to piece together is that this mask claims to remove pollutants from the skin and protect it from environmental aggressors. It does have a number of soothing and antioxidative plant extracts like Centella asiatica and Saururus chinensis, so the "dust" part must refer to environmental particles?
I have stated that I find the multi-step sheet masks interesting and more fun to use as I always like to see whether a brand has included a cleanser, ampoule, toner, eye cream or moisturizer to pair off with the "star of the show" sheet mask. In the case of this mask, the first step is a cleansing foam and the third step is a moisturizer.
When I ripped open the packet with the cleanser for Step 1, I saw that it had a pearly finish which usually means a a very foamy cleanser. While I understand why people like foaming cleansers, the Asian ones I have used tend to leave my skin very squeaky and it's a texture I am not a huge fan of. This one was no exception. I probably could have made the amount in this packet last for 2-3 uses, but I have more than enough cleansers in my collection and did not want to hang on to this little packet so I used the rest on my body.
The moisturizer that was included for Step 3 was very creamy and had a rich texture. There was also more than enough for my face, so I used the rest on my very dry legs! I was afraid the moisturizer would be too rich, but it absorbed nicely into my skin and did not feel heavy at all.
Oh, and this mask is green!
Mask Summary:
Price: $3.99 each or around $35-$40 for a pack of 10 from what I've seen over the years.
Skin concerns: Skin protection against pollution and environmental aggressors
Scent: Floral
Essence Type: White with a milky consistency
Duration: 20 minutes
Thickness: Thin
Mask Fit: Good - the fabric was the same uniquely stretchy material like the Jayjun Purple Mask.
Tackiness: Light
Hydration: Really nice especially once I applied their intensive moisturizer! My skin looked bright and had a nice finish. I had to do a double take in the mirror!
Other notes: N/A
Final verdict: I see what the fuss is all about! Honestly, my skin looked so good after I applied the moisturizer that I kept checking myself out in the mirror! I just looked so refreshed and alive! Maybe I DID have dust and environmental crap all over my skin! At any rate, though I wasn't a huge fan of the cleanser, this was a great mask and I will now need to get that 10 pack because I only bought two!
