Launched January 1st of this year, JLo Beauty made quite the buzz as like many of you, I have always been amazed at how youthful Jennifer Lopez still looks at the age of 50! I don't see the signs of a "chicken neck" and sometimes I feel like there are shots where she looks better now than when she was in her 30s! I just assumed she had had a little bit of work done here and there which I am not opposed to as I would definitely look to artificial plumpers and fillers as I get older. What seemed to infuriate many when JLo first launched her beauty line was that she said she owed her seemingly age-defying skin to olive oil and that she uses no Botox or artificial plumpers. Now, I'm sure she uses non-invasive techniques like microcurrents and professional peels, but I agree that it is a bit disingenuous to claim that this skincare line is the very thing that you will need to have everlasting youth. After a bit of mental back and forth and looking at the ingredients of her products, I thought I would dip just a toe in with the Limitless Glow Sheet Mask and see!
Firstly, I think it is highly unnecessary to have one cardboard box housing a packaged sheet mask. This mask also comes in a pack of 3 and for that, I can understand having a box. This is a two part mask infused with 30mL of JLo's Glow Serum and focuses on fine lines, dryness, wrinkles and lifting.
I found the mask a bit awkward to wear, but it was partly my fault for not watching a video beforehand on how the ear holes lined up. I was a bit over confident and thought I could figure out! Still, I found the mask very "thick" feeling with my nose being covered by two layers of the stretchy sheet material, but if you like feeling lifted along the jawline, this mask does just that! My jaw definitely felt closer to the rest of my face!

Mask Summary:
Price: $24 CDN/one mask or $64/three masks
Skin concerns: Fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, loss of firmness
Scent: I want to say a bit like olive oil? It's not the greatest scent, but fairly subtle overall so I forgot about it after a few seconds.
Essence Type: Cream
Duration: The instructions say to leave on for only 10 minutes which I think is ridiculous for what you pay for this mask, so I left it on for 20 minutes.
Thickness: Thick, but generally masks that loop around the ears need to be or else the sheet will rip.
Mask Fit: I found it super bulky
Tackiness: None, I actually really loved how my skin felt upon removal!
Hydration: A little bit dry around the eyes, but overall my skin was bouncy.
Other notes: A little bit tingly in the first minute or so.
Final verdict: I believe JLo takes care of herself and lives a fairly healthy lifestyle, but as someone who has fairly good skin for my age, I can tell you that genetics plays a massive part in aging so I still don't believe that JLo is being entirely truthful when it comes to using only olive oil as her skincare. Still, I feel like JLo is a bit of a perfectionist so when it comes to her own skincare line, I would like to believe that the formulations and ingredients are effective. I am grudgingly admitting that I liked the results of this mask, but I just didn't find it very comfortable to wear as I felt like I was being swaddled in layers of fabric. For the price as is, I think you can be happy with your skin using a sheet mask or skincare routine that costs far less, but if these ever go on sale I don't know if I would be able to resist picking up a mask or two...
