As I type this, I am nestled in a blanket as I watch a live replay of Stage 3 of the Tour de France. What a vacation life right? For the last two years, we have done a one month subscription to Flo Bikes as they are the only place in Canada that shows TDF. Before, you had to subscribe for the whole year for something like $150, but now you can pay $49.99 CDN for one month which is perfect! I have tried to keep up with the other Grand Tours during the year, but TDF is truly the most exciting!

I just did a mass reorganization of just one small section of beauty goods and it honestly took a whole afternoon! I also have four different medium size bags of cosmetics that are being given to various work colleagues and friends. Thank goodness I know people of all different ages, skin tones and types because much of this would then go to waste!

I am super proud of myself for painting my nails every single week this month! It has been a long time since I have been consistent and it has felt really good! This week's manicure is inspired by a manicure on the cutepolish YouTube channel from 2023 that I thought was very cute and went well with my current nail shape - Argyle Sweater Nails!

Ashamedly, I used to judge people who only posted nail swatches and no nail art, but now I know why. They are tired. I have not had the energy to do anything remotely creative these last few months so I have just been happy with having something on my nails. I was feeling like I needed a bit of a pick me up, so I went to my favourite colour family - the magentas!

I got home from work so late today. We had a very late client and we stayed two hours past closing which is something I haven't done in a long time, but it was for a good reason so no one was mad - just tired and wanting to go home. My stomach also wasn't feeling very good today so it was a crackers, rice, banana and tea day.

I am a ball of nerves today as my kitty Hugo heads in for dental surgery. I know this type of thing is fairly routine, but I always feel so badly bringing my cats to the vet in general and then having him need to go under and deal with the post-op pain just makes me feel so sorry for him. He just needs one tooth extracted as I noticed last year that it was red and bleeding in the gum area, but he also needs a cleaning. He only just turned 7 so he's a young guy and will probably be fine, but still I can't help worrying!

NAILS | Obligatory Spring Flowers #CBBxManiMonday

I actually did this manicure EARLY for once. Friday night to be exact which has not happened in forever! I'm always doing them Sunday night at 11:30pm so having an actual scheduled post is really something! I've never been that organized when it comes to hunkering down and getting posts done in advance because if I don't feel like writing about something at that exact moment I find I get writer's block or I have a hard time stringing together actual words. What I tend to do is write a week's worth of post ideas in my Bujo and complete whatever I feel like writing about first. It's very haphazard and is probably why I could never commit to blogging/freelance writing full-time. My writing is very emotionally motivated and right now I am very happy to be chatting about this manicure and new polish from Essie I've just tried!
