Lush UK Sinnage (Said with British Accent)

I had mentioned in my August Luvs post that I was very close to being done my tub of Rub Rub Rub so when I realized I had a VISA gift card from work, I knew it was time to place my order with Lush UK! It only took 7 business days to get to me and I saved about $20 going through Lush UK (including shipping)! I had two baskets going simultaneously and then I did the conversion at the end. It’s pretty crazy how much more expensive it is in Canada! The only thing I didn’t want to buy online was the Fresh Face Masks because I thought they had to be refrigerated…so that means that for 7 business days, they won’t be if I were to order them online…and I believe they are only good for a week anyway so I don’t know why Lush UK sells them online.

I didn’t go too crazy because let’s face it, at this point, we all have more than enough bath stuff to clean an entire country, so I just went with what I knew I’d use.

The first thing I got was of course, Rub Rub Rub which is such a great overall everything! Shampoo, soap, exfoliator and a tub of good-smelling fun! Next, is a bar of Trichomania Solid Shampoo which I fell in love with after receiving and finishing a sample I’d gotten from my Lush shopping trip back in May. I love the coconut scent and how clean it makes my hair feel.

I decided to try two other shampoo bars as well: Seanik, which is made with Irish moss and seaweed, and Dr.Peppermint. I also figured I should pick up a shampoo container since zip lock baggies aren’t really going to cut it anymore!

Lastly, I couldn’t decide which dusting powder sounded better so I got both Silky Underwear, which is jasmine-scented, and Vanilla Puff, which is surprise surprise vanilla-scented! Does anyone use these dusting powders? I thought they sounded nice to use after a shower or as a light deodorant.

And there it is! I was very pleased with how speedy shipping was and how well-packaged every item was when it arrived. The only thing I miss are the samples that you always get if you go to a store in person, but other than that, I will definitely be ordering from Lush UK again!

  5. I want to try their solid shampoo too! Will definitely check it out when I'm in store in a week!

Yes, so much cheaper to order from the UK website than the CA website. I did the same as you, had 2 carts of the same products and did the currency conversion. I ordered the fresh face mask from them. I was a bit surprised that they will ship it. When I got my mask, I had about 10 days to use it up so it is perfectly ok. I wouldn't recommend ordering it online but in the coming cold weather, and if I can't make it to the store, would totally order them online again.

    1. I am absolutely in love with their solid shampoos! They lather like crazy with so little product!

I can see how it would be better to order masks in the winter since it's essentially refrigerated all the way here, but I'm happy to hear that yours was fine. The two shopping cart method is probably the best thing to do since some things are a better deal while others not so much.

  6. Ooh I hadn't realized that it was so much cheaper. I love me some lush, but I wish they didn't use perfume or parabens in some of their stuff :(

    1. Certain things like Rub Rub Rub and Ocean Salt are cheaper. I found the dusting powder to be cheaper as well, but not really the soaps so it really depends. I would definitely do the two shopping cart thing and do the conversion at the end.

    1. I couldn't believe the price difference! It took me awhile before I actually ordered though because I wanted a large enough order that it was worth the flat rate shipping under 1kg. If you order more than that, then it gets really expensive.

  9. I never knew there was such a big price difference! I don't know if I'll ever have an order big enough to make it worth it. I like to purchase things here and there. I'll have to take a look at the uk store though out of curiosity.

    1. Oooh, well I'd have to say my favourites are Rub Rub Rub, Ocean Salt, Trichomania and the Coconut Powder for my shoes! And of course, all of their bath bombs! I only just started using Lush products this year and I cannot believe I waited so long to try them! Hope that helps!

  11. Hi,

    I love your blog!
I had a quick question..was the shipping price included on the total value declared? How were you tax on duties?

    Thanks so much!

    1. I have never had to pay duties at all and from what I remember, the shipping price was not part of the value declared.

      Thank you for reading!
