Review-Biotherm Beurre Corporel Body Butter

Growing up in a country that has French as a second language, I find it a little strange to use the above title because I have literally said “body butter” twice in a row. I have mentioned this body butter as one of my February Luvs and boy has it been my friend this past winter season! This body butter is for dry to very dry skin so I use it mainly on my legs as they seem to be the most in need of moisture. There is a lighter version of this body butter in the form of a body milk and will be what I will switch to in the warmer months.

Repair and protect your dry skin from external aggressions. Harsh winter winds, damaging sun rays and electric heating strip moisture from the skin leaving it rough and dehydrated.

Price: $37.00 CDN

Packaging: Plastic jar with screw-on lid

Scent: Like freshly squeezed oranges

Formula: A little goes a long way with this body butter as it is quite thick and incredibly hydrating being 20% shea butter. It actually feels smooth and buttery on the skin and absorbs into the skin well. This is wonderful on elbows and knees although it can be used all over the body, is even a little but TOO moisturizing on areas like my arms and torso that don’t need too much moisture. For those that like paraben-free products, this is one of them. I’m not against all parabens, but it’s always nice to know that I’m using one that doesn’t have any. If you follow my blog, you will know that scent is very important to me and often dictates whether I enjoy a product or not. My favourite scent of all time is orange so the scent of this body butter is like heaven and is just lightly scented so it’s not too overwhelming.

Final Verdict: I love this body butter for winter and highly recommend it for those with dry skin or live in dry climates.

  1. I've used body butters in the past and while they're very moisturizing and all, I really dislike the packaging and the consistency of some of the creams. I'm sticking to regular creamy/liquidy body lotions, but thanks a lot for the review Jayne! : ) xx

    1. I totally understand! Some days I just want something light so that's why I always have to have both. I also love pumps way more so that I don't have to get lotion stuck underneath my nails!

Sounds great. I think the orange scent would be a great way to get in the mood for spring!
