*Father’s Day* Sothys Paris | De-Stressing Eye Roll-On and Soothing After Shave Balm

Just in time for Father’s Day, Sothys Paris has partnered up with the rather good-looking Vincent Clerc, Vice World Champion Rugby Player, to promote the new Sothys Homme line. There are 6 products and 3 essential steps (Cleanse, Maintain and Enhance) in this new line with two of the products I will be sharing with you all today after some very aggressive husband and wife testing!

Sothys Homme harnesses volcanic rock, for its Magnesium –richness to “boost and detoxify”. The volcanic rock is actually Olivine extract which I am more familiar with on the gem level as – PERIDOT. There is also macadamia oil that further aids in soothing and moisturizing skin. This line is also paraben-free.

The De-Stressing Eye Roll-On($59.50) has the classic metal rollerball meant to soothe and de-puff the undereye area. There is absolutely no scent to this and it leaves a very light clear film that I would massage around my entire eye. My husband preferred just leaving the fluid to dry underneath the eye.The combination of the film and the cooling sensation of the metal rollerball is meant to promote tightening around the eye.

The Soothing After-Shave Balm ($59.50) is heavily fragranced with one of those incredibly masculine scents described as: woody, aromatic and musky. It’s oddly comforting in a way because my husband has used products that smell just like this over the years so it is a scent I have grown to love ON HIM. On me, I prefer something less heady and much lighter. This is actually a great gel moisturizer though that soothed any redness on the face or on the legs (when I used it!).

Final Verdict: The very first thing that caught my attention were the prices. These are some expensive products! Both products worked and were nice to use, but I just couldn’t wrap my head around the price! The eye roll-on has been shown to reduce tired looking eyes and increase radiance in 85% of men after 1 month of use. In the immediate, the undereye area definitely does seem less puffy, but in the long run it was hard to tell between the late work nights. The after-shave balm did reduce red spots and irritation over time. Even when we both first used it, it did do its job and I guess $60 for 50mL of product is not crazy considering men shave almost every day and having happy skin would be worth it. I think it depends on the guy!
