Fekkai | Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner

Have you ever used a shampoo/conditioner that made you say “Oh yeah. That’s the good stuff”? Well, that is exactly how I felt when I used the Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner ($27.00 each)! This duo is infused with sun-ripened olive oil and is meant to bring back radiance to dull hair and man, did it ever!

I will admit that there are so many shampoos and conditioners out there that make it hard to choose what’s best and for me, I can’t even use the same shampoo all the time as I feel like as seasons change, hair needs do as well. My hair was feeling really “used” and brittle for some reason prior to using this and seeing as how I do not colour it, I blamed it on weather and the use of heating tools.

The first thing I always do when I try a new shampoo/conditioner is smell it and I wasn’t sure what olive oil would smell like in a shampoo, the scent of this duo was delightfully refreshing with a bit of a floral scent to it. I also thought the caps were cool-looking :-)

Final Verdict: I would almost say that the first time I used this duo, I noticed a difference right away! My hair actually looked visibly shinier and felt so much softer. I have coarse hair, so when it gets dry it feels like you are touching the head of a porcupine. I have been using the duo for almost 4 weeks now and if you would like to see what my hair looks like, this post, is probably the only picture I have of all of my hair. It’s probably difficult to notice since you all don’t live with me (wouldn’t that be fun?!) and see my hair all the time, but I just felt so relieved that my hair was back to normal and then some! This duo is on the more expensive side, so I’d recommend getting the travel set linked above to see if this is a shampoo and conditioner that you NEED to have more of! It’s also being sold at London Drugs now for those of us out West so I don’t have to go into a specialty salon to pick this up! Yay for awesome haircare that is conveniently located in the neighbourhood!
