OPI is at it again with another new collection with tongue-in-cheek nail polish names that actually had me laughing out loud! OPI’s Fall/Winter Nordic Collection is “inspired by the great northern lights of Finland, deep blue fjords in Norway, and colourful houses of Copenhagen!” I have always wanted to visit Scandinavia (not just for their free education) and since I can’t go right now, the Nordic collection will have to do! Today I will be sharing with you swatches of “Skating on Thin Ice-Land” and an interesting glitter called “My Voice is a Little Norse” both of which were quite lovely to work with.
Skating on Thin Ice-Land is a dark purple that is very reminiscent of the classic Fall vampy nail polish colours we are used to seeing. The finish is very glossy and I am wearing two coats in all photos.
For some added flair, I placed striping tape in a criss-cross manner and painted two coats of My Voice is a Little Norse over top. My Voice is a Little Norse is an interesting glitter because not only does it contain holo glitter, but black glitter as well! It is a concentrated glitter so if you like wearing glitter on its own, (you brave soul, you!) two coats will do just fine.
I waited about a minute and carefully peeled off the tape to reveal the glittery diamonds. I finished off with some silver star nail studs that seemed to round out the sparkliness of the manicure. OPI is always very consistent when it comes to the quality and formulation of their polishes with both of these polishes being no exception!
